Depends whether you mean the pilot/dry run that they showed them doing in the episode, or the first episode proper. The dry run episode doesn't exist any more, but the actual first episode does.
Loving this so far. It really hits home as to how much of an instituation Corrie is and I say this even though I haven't really followed it for a few years.
It's quite sad to see how this country to used to have some fantastically talented people and regional ITV networks churning out great stuff compared to the sorry state ITV is in today.
I agree with this and itt made me realise that what the street is missing out on is a strong female bulldog type. In the early days the women were always the strongest characters but we seem to have been taken over by wimpy men and teenagers. It needs another Ena Elsie or Blanche.
Brilliant program though.
Just watched it tonight as I've recorded it I thought it was very good ......... untill the end why didn't they let it run on till the ratings came in? say about the 6th week of the 13 week run, then turn round to Tony Warren & the rest of the cast & crew & say we have struck gold & so history was started! but it was the BBC who made it wasn't it! & ITV could not be bothered to do something as a tribute to the programme
I haven't watched Corrie in years and have just been told about the storyline where Linus Roache plays Ken's long lost son and James play's Linus' son.
Oh no I didn't mean the actress was her, but with the similarity, I wondered if all those years ago, Margot had initially auditioned for Ena and was then offered the chance of Minnie?
