The Oscars....

Joan Rivers is now working for TV Guide Channel in the States because I don't think E! were particulary impressed with how she treated the celebrities. They also got a huge pay rise if I remember correctly lol. Star Jones who was doing it for the last year or so was really good but I think she was sacked along with Kathy Griffin (who made a little joke about an actress that the US media jumped on). Thank god I haven't got E!, Ryan Seacrest is terrible :(

:D Ooops!!! :o :D

I had to just pop on here as I cannot stand that bloke on the carpet! George *swoon* Clooney and Eric Bana were ad libbing with him and being funny and he totally ignore what they were saying and just carried on.

Don't like him at all.

Not a huge fan of Keira as an actress but she looks beautiful tonight (except I am not so fond of her hair.....it looks like mine does when I get up! Miaow me!) But she is stunning..love her dress.

Rachel Weiz looks stunning all in black and I only saw she was still pregnant when she turned round..she looked very slim from the front.

George looks yummy...but I don't recognise half the people as I haven't been to the cinema much this year (which hasn't gone down well with my cineworld card! :D)

This toast is cold !!

Isn't the Sky Movies coverage really bad? They really haven't made any effort at all. I'd rather be watching the US aRAB.

Jon Stewart is funny but I wonder if he's too cynical for the American viewers.

Anyone want some Red Bull?

My OH laid out the sofa for me with a bottle of wine, a flask of tea, a hot water bottle...and a bag of jam doughnuts! I'll feel crap tomorrow but hey..it's only once a year! :D

Now do we go to Sky movies now or stick with E!

Choices choices.

Yes, from what I have seen of Truman, the guy has him down to a tee. I think he may win.

Loved Jen...she looked lovely as did Sandra. And my old teen crush...Keanu. He still is gorgeous.

I am fond of Mariella but are her and the fashion lady half asleep doing the links on Sky? I could act more excited than them!:D

Heath has more screen time and I think we see more of his story than Jake's as the film progresses - but you're right, it's not to the extent that I would agree Jake was a supporting actor as such, but I guess that's the way the nominations work.

Have two men from the same film ever been nominated for "Best Actor"?

Do you think there'll be a day shift on this thread when all the people who are sleeping now discuss what happened after watching the results on GMTV?

To them all, you missed all the fun guys.

Is it nearly over already! Damn what happened to the days when the ceremony ran for 4 hours with all the musical numbers?

Well Brokeback's making a comeback!
