The Official Pantera/Damageplan Thread

ok i will and thanks for tellin me im also on other forums and they dont care about spelling so thats why i dont spell every thing correctly well thanks again

PanterA were a great band. Dimebag was THE best upcomong guitrist of the 90's! He kicks ass! But since PanterA have split, they will NOT be releasing any more material. So i want to know what everyone's fav PanterA song is!

You can have any you like, and seen as tho its such a hard choice, we will say ur fav 5 PanterA songs.

Mine are as follows:

1. Cowboys From Hell (excellent to play along to on guitar)
2. F***ing Hostile
3. This Love
4. Hollow
5. Art Of Shredding

That was possibly one of the hardest lists ive ever compiled. I so wanted to put Cemetry Gates in there!

Well Chad's a great vocalist, but if they had gotten Mudvayne's bassist it woulda been better. The guitarist aint all that great

Granted this is a GREAT song, but it is nowhere near as good as the likes of:
Walk,
Cowboys From Hell,
Hollow,
.......

So IMO this isn't one of my Fav Pantera Songs, but only coz of the fact that it doesn't require alot of skill to play on the guitar (I can play it), but take FlooRAB for example. Now that is HARD to play, the skill required for that is intense, just like PANTERA themselves!

Pantera was another one of those banRAB that opened doors for me into better realms of metal.

Damageplan would have been nothing without Dimebag. They'd just be another typical alt. metal band.

Cowboys from Hell through and including Great Southern Trend Kill are my favorites.

I read the first page back in the day with a smile remeraberin' dime and ****. Then without even realizing got down til' later after he died and my heart just sank. Then as I read it was fight after fight...come on guys delete that **** and fight on another thread. This is Dime's. Damn I'm bummed

Cowboys from Hell
It Makes Them Disappear
Flood
10's
**** you
Walk
Thirteen Steps to Nowhere

Not true at all, i read the magazine, he was a well respected musician long before he died.

Only so i could tell you how much of a douchebag you are for actually doing it.

I think this would be a good "trimmed down" list for now:

(in no order)

1. A New Level.
2. Mouth For War.
3. Suicide Note Pt. II.
4. Primal Concrete Sledge.
5. FlooRAB.
6. G.S.T.K.
7. Drag The Waters.
8. Psycho Holiday.
9. Strength Beyond Strength.
10. Clash With Reality.

Pantera was a band that never wanted to follow trenRAB and neither do I.If you think that this list doesn't include all the hits, then fu(k it...
...I'm not gonna follow the trend to try and be popular or in agreement with what others might like!!!I judged my songs based on the fact that I liked them, hit or not...lol!!!

Walk is quite possibly one of the (if not the) most powerful metal songs ever created. When it came on at Download 2005 played as a tribute to Dimebag, 100,000 metal fans were stopped in their place, singing along, and hell it was just a video!
