The Official Pantera/Damageplan Thread

That's funny you mentioned r.t.s. not being the better album...lol.I was hangin' out with my brother a week or so ago and I saw he had that pantera album which I think is good, but probally pantera's worst.Anyways, I asked my brother where he got it and he said he got it from a friend and that the friend recently purchased it, but didn't think it was all that great. Then we were chillin' and I decided to put it in because he hadn't heard it yet.Well, we listened, skipped one song after the other and you know what he told me about r.t.s.?That's right, he said "This doesn't really sound like pantera; it really is as bad as my friend told me!!!"Anyways I still like the album, but I agree that it is in last, not first place when it comes to pantera albums!!!

8th Deceraber will always be a day when a great musician is mourned. Obviously I mean John Lennon, not this hair-metal clown. I'd go to far more gigs if I knew the band were gonna get wasted! Especially Starsailor.

Yeah, whenever pantera was mentioned. No one cared about him before he died. I read the magazine and have been for awhile, when he was mentioned he was respected, yeah but they didn't freak out and mention him every issue like they do now.

Yeah, Vulgar Display of Power is a pretty good album. The 3 note riff in Walk drags on for too long, but the solo is pretty good.

Yes I know that they use Exhorder's style and I don't care. Exhorder is great thrash and so is Pantera.

man....what you guys think about this massacre at the Pantera show in colurabus ohio? apparently, the guitarist for Pantera was shot dead, along with some fans. this is f*cked up.

Dimebag is awesome! I like this band, but it doesn't compare to Pantera.
There was such a great chemistry between Dimebag, Rex, Vinnie, and Phil.

I really miss Pantera. :(
