Oh Rly?, Nirvana were not the band that made everyone depressed if thats what you're thinking, Hair Metal took care of the depressing everybody part mostly.
What is rock about?, i always thought it was music that pushed limits musicly, maybe i was wrong, if you are talking about Rock N Roll, then maybe you're right, but then again i dont consider banRAB with big falseto vocals, complex minute long guitar solos and lyrics about Satan and Hell what Rock N Roll is about either, Nirvana are closer to Rock N Roll than any metal band, and dont you dare say something stupid like "at least they have solos" because impressive technical skill and virtuoso musicianship does not increase musical quality, im not saying they are better than metal, but they kept it simple, just like Bo Diddley and Little Richard did before them, thats more than i can say for most metal banRAB, who seem to put too much emphasis on keys and scales instead of looking at the big picture...Just accept this one truth, some people listen to music for enjoyment, not to be impressed.
Dont forget about talentless garbage like Muse, Silverchair, Manic Street Preachers, The White Stripes and Radiohead.
So, you're a terrible guitarist if you dont do a good wanking technical solo in all your songs?, i guess thats more important than playing the guitar for what it was originaly meant for?, which is making music?, and having amazing octave range like Ronnie James Dio must be a must have as well huh?, we will just have to disagree, because in my opinion Cobain was a DECENT guitarist, a DECENT singer and a GREAT songwriter.

So a band cant be greater than the sum of its parts?, every meraber has to be a amazing musician?, then i guess Pink Floyd and U2 suck total ass too because their rhtyhm sections dont have any more skill than a high school player, and i guess Bob Dylan and John Lennon suck too because they werent technicaly impressive musicians.
