Fair enough. If you like your music to be derivative, bland and purposeless, then continue to "enjoy" Greenday. And please, don't call me son, you might think it gives you an air of joviality and possibly even superiority, but it doesn't.

Unintelligent and with no real purpose. Good way to describe Green Day actually. Smote that.
 
yes, but very little of that had anything to do with music. They marketed the sh*t out of their image, and that was it. That was their thing, if you actually look at the music itself, it's quite monontonous, one-dimensional, boring even. without their pyrotecnics, funny makeup, and over the top costumes, they wouldn't have been famous. They came around at the right time, people were looking to latch on to huge pop culture phenomenons, looking to join in the "experience" of going to a show, something that was started in large part by the stones. Their image is the sole reason they were so successful, that and luck that they came around at the right time.
 
Boo Boo likes ALOT more then Green Day and Nirvana, and treating it like hes some teenybopper is stupid.

You treat it like he isn't openminded, i've tried to get him to check out tons of banRAB over the past while i've been talking to him, and he hasn't turned around and rejected any of them and me and his music tastes aren't exactly similar. Show some respect twat.
 
Its not that we hate KISS.
Its just that when people like you come onto music forums, and turn all fanboi-ish, a new found hate is bred. I never really hated Led Zeppelin till Kashmir came around. I never really hated Dream Theater until Don came around, and I never rally hated KISS until you came around.
 
green day is already ... ahem "the best band on the planet" according to some shlong in britain, what more could the dvd do for them. take a rest green day. and btw way to put an MTV promo in the punk forum, assclown.
