Well done, f's. It's a great film, though I have to confess, I've not seen it for years.

I was actually talkling about Magnolia, but I suppose I mean that if a flick ends up in our collective (you like that word planet?) list, then somebody should have no reason to not make an effort to watch it. I don't really think this is a place for people afraid of watching movies.

Yep. I think the influx of new, younger members has pushed a lot of these acknowldged greats down the list. I pleased about that, as it makes things much more interesting. Whether it'll be better or not, I don't know, but it's certainly more interesting.

*Edit* I'd hope they factor in watchability into their own top 10. Otherwise, what's the point of having them in there?

97. Being John Malkovich (1999, Jonze)

If Temple of Doom made it, the I think the other two did as well. (not even bothering with crystal skull)

Really? I can't say I've ever thought it was that good. So far, and I understand that we're not 10 films in yet, Double Indemnity's the only film that gets my pulse racing.

I guess that could either be a really good thing or a really bad thing, Harry.

Also just because we are 1/5th, I thought I'd just post the list thus far here so you dont have to look back:

100. The Crow
99. Mystic River
98. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
97. Being John Malkovich
96. Double Indemnity
95. Spirited Away
94. Million Dollar Baby
93. Black Hawk Down
92. Moulin Rouge!
91. Leon (The Professional)
90. Good Will Hunting
89. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
88. American Beauty
87. Raging Bull
86. Schindler's List
85. Signs
84. Sonatine
83. Magnolia
82. Requiem for a Dream
81. Titanic

Thoughts, opinions on the list thus far?

I like Titanic, but I'm surprised to see it on this list. Mostly because it's not even half the film on tv that it is on the big screen.

How the list looks so far? Well, there's still not a top 25 film from my list on there. Most of them, if not all, wouldn't make my top 100, but there's some good films on it. Three films I've not seen (Magnolia being the only one I might take a look at) and I love that Double Indemnity and Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? are both on the list. Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby and Black Hawk Down are disapointments and I'm surprised to see Titanic and Sonatine on there, though I like those two.

The rest are films I've expect to see on this list. Some I like, some I don't, but I don't think I've got anything to add that I already haven't.

Even though, I've heard good things about Black Hawk Down, I definitely did not expect it to make this list.

Never seen Leon. I will have to put this on on my list. Look how young Natalie Portman looks.

I like how you're doing this, comparing it to the previous list and showing how much it has moved up or down is a great idea. Kudos!

99. Mystic River (2003, Eastwood)

Total Points Earned: 33

Yeah for some reason I've had a hard time of getting ahold of that one. But I think when I go down to Illinois they have this store that has essentially every great film there so I can probably just buy it as a blind buy, since I'm assuming it'll be well worth it.

92. Moulin Rouge! (2001, Luhrmann)

Total Points Earned: 35

Magnolia is a great film, I would recommend it too.
At least far better than Crash.
