The Music Banter Essential Guide to Music

I will, just wanting more interest first, or it won't work.

I'll see how the next days go.

Well, personally, as a music nerd, I like to research banRAB I like anyway, so more information couldnt possibly hurt. A link would be good, so that if someone just wants the music they wouldnt have to read about it, but the link could still be there for people who do.

Any more suggestions, either for the list or for the rules/procedures?

There doesn't seem to be much interest in this. It won't work very well if only three of us voted and took part.

I think more people will get involved once you have an example of it up & running.

Instead of more planning I think you should just start it up now and see what works & what doesn't and do it that way.

Oh, and also if anyone wants to nominate artists to cover then please do so by a PM only.

You don't need to do a write up of reasons because it's not a hall of fame or anything like that. But please limit to around 5 at a time. I ain't gonna be impressed opening a PM and seeing 200 artists. Lol.

Ok, here is a sample of what a basic entry would look like:

Spunki Pelunki

"A perfect example of everything right and wrong with pop. On the one hand, these are genuine mega-jam hits, no denying these brothas can groove! On the other hand, such easily consumed fare can ultimately lead to indigestion once heavy rotation hits full-tilt. Like a hangover, although you enjoyed the par-tay, you wonder if it was worth it in the end. I conclude Yayyyy- Yessss!!!." ToneDeaf

Top Five Recommended Tracks:

"Critics disliked them, fans loved them. Only one of two banRAB to sell out Shea Stadium, the other being The Beatles, and Spunki Pelunki did it quicker. In concert, they defined turning the amps up to 11, so even the fan sitting in the very last row would vibrate throughout the entire show and partial hearing loss." ILoveCrapMusic

"I love their aesthetic method of being extremely prolific. It's led to some beautiful creations. I like how SP had the courage to move into higher production territory and explore new spaces." BadTaste

"Spunki Pelunki make music that goes beyond just audio. The images that are conjured up while listening to their music are entire journeys, dreams and mythical adventures. It truly is a unique experience listening to the kings of progressive rock." NoClue

------------------------------
Of course, this is all open to suggestions and what not.

As good as it all sounRAB....Spunki Pelunki is not real!

I think the main thing to keep in mind when thinking of an artist is how many people are going to contribute i.e. not many people would be voting for and have much knowledge on Spunki Pelunki.

Plus, I reckon once an artist has two albums to their name then it's fair game.
