The Expendables

Personally I think it was better than 2009 for films. Mainly due to Inception :D

Not sure about this I love action films but this just has not appealed to me.

Have looked to see if anyone has a thread on this already and oddly enough couldn't see one....unless I missed it lol. Anyway has anybody seen this yet? I was lucky enough to finish work at 12 today and went to see it at 1pm this afternoon.

I was not disappointed, it was great, full of action, explosions, fights etc which is what I like in my films and also in some places quite funny, thought it was great seeing Willis, Arnie and Stallone together. I also watched wrestling when I was younger when Steve Austin was the top guy and It was great to see him play a good role in this film.

I'm guessing not many people will have seen this yet but if anybody has please discuss what you thought :)

^ Do you react that way to anyone who doesnt like this very mediocre movie?

Only to people who claim they like Action Films, this is pretty much 100minutes of 80's style action, and it's the best kind. I'm sorry if you were expecting a James Bond plot but this film was never really about the story, just Stallone and the gang having fun and being violent with plenty of things exploding, and hell, that's actually very enjoyable.

Saw it, thought it was ok for what it was. Statham was the star for me, he just seemed to steal the movie. Lots of action and occasional funny moments as well! The Arnie scene was great to see.

lmao, this film was brilliant. No plot, but you don't need a plot when you have Statham, Stallone and Li taking down an entire army and blowing thinigs up that don't need to be blown up.

good fun film, anyone who didnt like either doesnt like action films or is just a negative wannabe film critic

some really funny moments like arnie scene and the wayan guys huge gun lol

Just got back from seeing "The Expendables".It was an alright film.I didn't think it was great but at the same time i didn't think it was rubbish.

Just seen it. Probably one of the worst I've sat through in a while. Proper plop, not just mildly disappointing or something, but really truly awful.

Loved it. Really really good fun, definitely a movie to go see with all the laRAB.

And great to see Charisma Carpenter up on the big screen at long last!

Just out of interest, what were you expecting from the film?

I honestly don't believe anyone who went into the theatre expecting anything other than random explosions, gore, violence - in other worRAB a throwback to 80s action films - could leave disappointed. If you went in expecting anything else, then quite frankly, you're the fool for walking into the cinema in the first place.
