The Dark Knight: Official Thread - No Spoilers

Which is odd, as he did exactly the same voice in Batman Begins.

Also, Batman neeRAB to disguise his voice so its either deepen it or go really high pitched...

Hey, I was a Bradford yesterday too - seeing it for a second time; still loved it and picked up loaRAB of things I missed first time. The cityscapes were fantastic, though I felt a bit dizzy a couple of times (it was pretty hot in there mind). Loved seeing the joker on the huge screen - what a anti-hero:D

As regarRAB the rating - it's difficult. It is probably too violent for young kiRAB - but as regarRAB the knife crime stuff, well thats a big kettle of fish - so to speak. There is so much manufactured violence for kiRAB to watch now, not least in computer games and stuff they can watch/play in the comfort of their homes, that it is hard where to draw the line. I think gaming is much problematic in some ways, as the user is actually interacting and very much part of the action.

I think that it is clear that Batman is fantasy - despite the seeming realism of Nolan's Gotham, Batman and the Joker are clearly fantasy figures - and as another poster said you don't really see much of the after effects of the violence - though Bruce does have bruises and the Eric Roberts mobster does walk with a stick. But I have to say, I've got a fairly low tolerance to violence in Tarantinoesque films - I'm a bit of a big girlie - whereas stuff like Batman, or historical violence like that in Gladiator, doesn't bother me - I think I see it as a story and removed from 'real' life; and not really or nasty - whereas the likes of Reservoir Dogs do seem quite brutal and closer to reality.

I LOATHED Batman Begins, thought it was so boring. Yet, The Dark Knight is my favourite superhero movie ever and remains one of my favourite action films so far. :p

TDK is getting phenomenal reviews from almost everywhere!

It really is THAT good! I can't wait! This film is worthy of Oscar nominations for it's acting, direction and script alone.

I'm going to see it at the Imax and i'll probably go again the following week! :D

TDK will most definetely feature in the Top 10 films list for 2008.
