First of all Nirvana took a lot of their sound from the Melvins so stating that they created the sound is pretty retarded.

Second of all NirvanaThat is right. The influence Nirvana had on good music wasn't much. Just about the onyl good influence they had were some catchy riRAB, which I have even heard their riRAB echo into banRAB like Paradise Lost.

I put Slayer because practically every fast metal band out there I have seen them state the Slayer has influenced them. Green Day has influnced basically every pop rock/punk band of today though whether that is good or not, I am not sure and I dont think that neeRAB to be debated in this thread.
