Christopher Lee was meant to make an appearence as well, and Head's piece was originally much bigger, but when JD daughter fell ill they got a bit behing schedule so their parts were cut, sadly :(

I did see flashes of Jack Sparrow as well, but I liiiked it, lol.
 
Wellll there just happens to be one here! I'm thinking maybe musicals appeal to women much more in general, really? And put Johnny Depp in anything and women WILL gush.

Saying that, my boyfriend loved it, and he hates musicals for the most part. Hey, I actually hate them too, only ones I can stand are Nightmare Before Christmas and Rocky Horror. Big broadway musicals make me cringe, but the music in Sweeney Todd was very dark, I think thats why I liked it.

But jaysus, that Bluebird Blackbird song Joanna sang makes me want to hurt things. Argh.
 
I saw it at the weekend.And i am still not sure if i liked it.

Depp was fantastic in it.And songs were catchy

No one i dont think has mentioned sasha boron cohen.Although his part was small.It was funny and great.
 
Well i was surprised to see it as an 18, due to the fact that when i wa sin middle school (when i was 12) we put on th eproduction of it.
 
Damnit, I went and got the soundtrack album, and totally can't get the "have a little priest!" song nor the Johanna one out of my head now, can't stop playing the CD, totally addicted.

I really like "My FrienRAB" when he's just got his knives back too, the gentle yet loving way he sings that and the background orchestrations are just amazing, I'm going to have to get an original concert recording too to compare it, as I gather they reorchestrated a lot of it to squeeze in a full orchestra rather than a typical theatre orchestra.

I can't believe that it's Tim Burton who has made me love Sondheim.
 
Just got back from seeing this.. quite suprised I got in :p
But I thought it was a good film even though I don't usually like musicals!
Johnny Depps singing suprised me, I thought he was really good!
Lot of blood though... :eek:
 
just got back from seeing it and i loved it. Trying my best not to talk about it to my sister though - dont want to ruin it for her when she sees it.
 
Did you get the full or the highlights?? I got the highlights in Virgin not realsing there was a full one, wish I'd got the full on now cause the highlights enRAB so abruptly.
 
I just got back from seeing it. Thought it was good, but not as good as it has been made out to be, although that said i think that Johnny Depp deserves every bit of the praise that has been lauded on his performance, he does actually have a great singing voice :)
 
I am no psychologist but I suggest that is mostly down to the Johnny Depp factor. ;) Also Alan Rickman has his share of admirers too.

But when I went to see it for the 2nd time, the men in attendance outnumbered the females. A lot of the men had gone on their own to see it it seemed.
