Interesting that the BBC4 announcer introduced Wallander as a "super-sleuth". Kurt actually seemed very slow on the uptake last night. I found the episode very pedestrian and also worked out the plot well before the half way point.
I'm a bit concerned that Kurt's new comfortable existence - house by the sea, new dog, new car, potential love interest next door, no edgy daughter - contains all the seeRAB of another soap. Now that the originality of the Swedish setting is wearing off, there will need to be some stronger plots that this to keep the series on the boil.
