oh yes the dead princes were hilarious, the one played by Rupert Everett, his his stayed straight up through the whole movie, so funny.
 
screw the book, i'm watched it twice! then i saw Hairspray again. Then... somehow, I ended up watching Rush Hour 3 before i came home. :P
 
I actually liked the film more than the book. :blush: I liked the clever solution of the book better than the explosions-heavy ending, but it still rocked. Sienna Miller was all wrong for the role of Victoria, though. She's pretty and all, but nothing so extraordinary as the pale, auburn-haired, young Victoria I'd imagined. Victoria was all wrong in general, actually, more concieted and petty than cold and unsure.

But still, Captain Shakespeare = win.

Oh, that's just awesome! :sigh: I love when books I like have a good film adaptation. It's one of the best feelings as a lover of both literature and movies.

I dont remember much of the pirates in the book; there's not really a whole lot, I dont think.
 
The book's my fave of all time...and my friend got me the DVD for my birthday! :D I just got through watching it...:sigh: I love it....
 
I watched this movie the other day, i thought it was really good, i'd definately recommend it.
The whole concept was extremely unique i thought, and different from most movies that are out now.
Ricky Gervais was sooo funny too. I heart him.
 
i saw this movie last night and i ahve to say i am now complealty smitten with charlie cox , he's such a cutie.

and i dont agree, i thought claire danes did a wonderful job and doesnt look 40 at all, just a bit shiny - but hey she was playing a star.

Over all the film was far better then i expected - it encompused a lot of differnt genres but balanced them wonderfully. Very entertaining.

i had to order the book too . . . i couldn't resist
 
Yep, came out today.

I'm definitely interested in reading the book now.

The movie seemed pretty magical to me, but then again I haven't read the book.
 
Me too. I just have a lot of other books I'll be reading, so it'll have to wait. But I am going to! :)
