I've just got back from watching Star Wars at my local ODEON in Rochdale for the 12.35am screening.
Was a good film but i think i hyped it up too much myself.
I was expecting somthing like when i 1st watched the matrix, i was expecting a new era in film making i suppose.
but i must say that i did find it enjoyable.
I can see why it was give a 12r rating now as the Anakin in the lava bit is very dark and disturbing.

i have seen a picture of darth vader (in his suit but with his helmet off) stood with general grievous

i dont remember this scene, did i miss something?

How dark was this film? Absolutely amazing, couldn't think of a better way to end the original trilogy.

I too would have liked to have seen Qui Gon at the end, just for a bit of relief from all the dark.

I really want another episode though, but it's probably finished now :(

Chill! - No need to get tetchy - everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. It seems like the only place you can post your own ideas without someone jumping down your throat is the Dr Who threaRAB!

Have a nice day :)

my point was that it follows the traditional star wars scene style - if it was multiple pictures like 24 between scenes, it would look stupid

how would you like to have gone from scene to scene then, bojanutan?

I just got back from Bluewater and I loved it.
I know what you mean about the Lava, I'll have a very disapointed Padawan tomorrow when I have to tell him I don't think he can see it......

Will discuss more when I've slept !

It's unconventional. :D

And I prefer to call it saber, as that's the correct spelling in this context.

Out of interest, what do you think of the other Star Wars movies?

So wise, you dn't even realise that the film has absolutely no CGI in it... Its all done with camera effects.

It is also a very well made, if controversial movie...

You know so much about cinema, you can't even tell when CGI is and isn't CGI!

Isn't it possible to be a fan of both? Yes! I am :D Although the child in me finRAB Star Wars far more entertaining.

I don't think Star Wars can ever be looked at in the way you would criticise another film.

Its a phenomena, its spanned 3 decades and entertained many children and adults.

Star Wars is great, because it is :D

I,for one don't think they're going to run very well, when you watch Ep1 through to 6.

And no explanation of "Ben" Kenobi????
Despite "I haven't gone by that name since before you were born"

Oh yes you did!!!!

That was so good!!And so satisfying!!!
Just got back from the 12:35 in Northampton Vue.

First twenty mins are great but then it lags a little when its starts focusing on Padme and Anakin's relationship- in the same way that it did in Ep II.

But when the big switch round of the clones starts... fantastic! The slaughter of the Jedis was so disturbing.

The final battle was amazing- so well planned and thought out. Was visually just so astounding.

Then when it goes all 70's the end and tied up the loose enRAB it was worth the wait.
Wasn't sure bout Vaders firsts lines- asking if padme was ok. then a comedy NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol

all in all 8.5/10:)

I watched a 00.31 showing last night and to be honest Hayden Christensen deserves an Oscar for his performance. He was awesome! Okay the change to Darth was a teeny bit rushed but throughout the film nobody came close to Hayden's performance. For me it was the kind of performance that wins you Oscar's and as for the film as a whole, for me the best of the 6...Mainly because of the sheer genius of how Anakin was manipulated and how everything just came together perfectly to enter Episode 4. Fantastic film that was made even the better by knowing there was not to be a happy ending, added to the drama.

One more praise for Hayden Christensen's performance aswell!!

I also thought it was a great film with the majority of the loose end tied up nicely.

Can we all now please get of he back of Mr Lucas as he has delivered the dark brooding film we have all craved for.

I know he got it right as a small lad was talking to his dad in the lobby of the cinema asking "Was that really Star Wars?"

Just shows though you please one audience you disapoint another!!!!

Im off to see it again now!!!

i agree, i dont think they will run well 1-6, but they might run well 4-6 then 1-3?

maybe obi wan liked the name ben? or maybe obi-wan was a jedi name, and ben is his real name?
