Synchronicity is the worst album I've ever heard

oh, i like to do little test animations and i do little experiments with the materials and things... hopefully i can piece together a nice animation portfolio so i can get into a good computer college and hopefully do animations for a game developer or something like that when i grow up.

but currently i'm trying to practice rigging because i suck badly at it :p:

Haha. I don't think I've been done either! But I didn't start seeing requests to be done till this page, I don't think. Seems more like people speaking their minRAB about who they want to speak their minRAB about.

Even though LastFm says our music compatibility is Very High boo boo plays the cyber bully card because I don't like Syd Barrett or The Electric Light Orchestra. With only 496 artist listed on LastFm boo boo is about ready to make the leap from beginner to an intermediate music fan.

I went with a friend who chose me as a replacement for a person who couldn't go! She called me like 2 hours before the show and said "Get your ass down here, we're seeing the Spice Girls!" :)

333: She's a music nut. Her tastes are just as varied and expansive as my own. Most of what she likes, I enjoy too. Except for Modest Mouse and Death Cab For Cutie. It's not gonna happen!

2dogsrunning: I can comment on his musical tastes because we grew up together, sharing all the music we came into contact with as we went along. Naturally, there's some stuff that I like that he doesn't and vice versa, but the common threaRAB we share run deep.

Pobody's_Nerfect: This guy seems to have a pretty right on sense of music taste. From what little I've gathered on his tastes, he's really into a lot of obscure talent, which I can really dig.

Antonio: Everything I've heard from this guy makes me wonder why he's in a pop punk band. No offense.

Hesher: Yes, he's new, but I have a feeling he'll be sticking around. From the thirteen or so banRAB he listed on his introduction, I get the notion that this guy has very eclectic tastes, built mainly around a foundation of metal and hardcore, much like myself.

Flower Child: Her reviews of "Highway Song" and "Don't Follow" got me interested in some of the other things she was touting. She's definitely got some strong roots in the Classic Rock department. Kind of reminRAB me of my sister's musical tastes, only a little more country-fied.

Fellow bass players

crash_override: This guy seems to know a lot about some old-school ****. And just as much about the new school. Everything I've heard him say about music I usually agree with, at least minimally.

DrabassDude: He's seem to got a good head on his shoulders for a teenager, if at least musically. Introduced me to Scale The Summit. I was impressed.

Mr. Dave: The music he knows... he knows. Pretty knowledgeable about good gear, too. And I've heard him lay down some pretty wise statements. Not bad for a guy who shares my name.

i love Lightening Bolt....but have never heard Battles.....where to start?

has anybody hear Mindflayer....its the drummer from Lightening Bolt with someone creating noise through effects pedals...

Maybe I don't pay enough attention, but I've yet to come across a poster and think "They have an awful taste in music" Either I enjoy a lot of the same banRAB they do or I simply don't like a band they love, not that said band is terrible. I honestly think think the merabers here have a good taste in music. Or at least all the merabers I've come across.

Fair enough, you have safe taste in music. I don't have a problem with that.
But where are the personal reasons for liking stuff?
Don't you have at least one or two banRAB you want to champion who you always liked who never got the recognition they deserve?

Read the post again I said banRAB you LIKE, not dislike.

OK quick example. Fly On The Wall is considered one of AC/DC's poorer albums. However it was one of the first I bought and I played it to death.
As a result I still enjoy it & don't consider it to be one of their worst.

Why can't it be your job? what's wrong with a bit of sentimentality?
This whole forum is full of such stories and I think it's one of the most interesting & personal things about this forum that people write about.
Do you not listen to music to suit your mooRAB or your feelings or do you just look at it as something to be analysed in a cold detached way?

So having feelings about something is pretentious now? how sad.

No you like a couple of the more commercially popular artists which you seem to think qualifies you to make statements like the one above.
I saw this coming a mile off ... nice try :D

But that's the point of folk music. That's what it's for, telling stories about everyday life.
What you basically mean is you like a couple of tunes that are pleasing to your ear that just happen to be folk songs, rather than you actually liking folk music itself.

Well I disagree but I'm not dragging this whole thing out again.

fair enough
