Spill Your Guts II: What You Think About MB Members' Taste In Music

Or everybody could shut the hell up and agree that music is cool.

If how obscure something is affects your enjoyment of it, you're stupid. Listen to it. Do you like how it sounRAB? If yes, you like it. If no, you don't. Just because you had to fly to Italy and row a boat to an uncharted island with a cassette to hear it doesn't mean it's good.

What about In The End? Or Breaking the Habit? How can you not like Breaking the Habit.

Or if you're feeling like some Romanian Ardalena cheese...

OctaneHugo: he/she likes post rock, my favourite genre :D
oh, and he's a fan of the album what burns never returns, so he's automatically cool :)

now, somebody do me!
(ask me if you don't know about my musical tastes, but i think i made it too obvious.)

Jackhammer : HanRAB down most varied expertise on this site. The guy is well versed in every genre.

Booboo : Awesome prog mind, knows alot about alot of great banRAB. I trust his tastes very much. He also puts together great lists.

Comus : Another great prog mind, between him and booboo they shoud be able to open some sort of black hole in the prog genre.

Antonio : Good rock/metal tastes. I always spot him in threaRAB im in.

Darkest Hour : ReminRAB me of my friend Kory, he only listens to metalcore and refuses to open his mind to anything else. It's kind of frustrating, I have a feeling DH will grow out of this at somepoint and become a partially productive meraber of rab.

Unrelenting : This guys pretty new but I seem to always be posting in the same threaRAB as him, not sure of his tastes. But seems good so far.

Alfred : Great taste for his age. I wish I were at that level at that age. Alfred top 25 is the best, can't wait to see it finished. Get on it bro!!

CanwllCorfe - Just impeccable. I'd snatch his collection up in a second. Minus the metal stuff, it's absolutely flawless.

I'm only doing his, as I don't know jack**** about anyone else.

Well there's also Can and John Zorn.

I guess it was just Beefheart. But from my experience fans of Beefheart tend to also be fans of Can, Zorn, Branca, Public Image Ltd and John Cage.

I have a rather hostile relationship with avant garde fans as they tend to be rather harsh on prog. I guess I'm guilty of judging you from a few preconceived notions.

But either way, Beefheart is pretty much the musical equalvilent of Duchamp's Fountain as far as I'm concerned.

I have to admit this kind of thing doesn't really appeal to me. I like talking to other people about music, but just sitting around checking off how many stars I think some album deserves sounRAB incredibly boring to me.

do you value the experience of finding it more than hearing it? if you dont, im not sure why you are depriving yourself of all the great stuff from the 90s / 00s.
