South Park - "The Ring" - Talkback [3/11]

I don't know. The way they made them sound when they were actually singing had me rolling. I think that was a small enough joke....ba-baaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy~ (I'm never gonna tired of that one)
 
I actually liked this episode more than I thought it would. The "Kenny and his girlfriend" synopsis sounded kind of mundane, but Trey and Matt managed to absolutely shock me.
 
I'm pretty sure a fan asked about if they got approval for all the characters to avoid copyright infringement, and they said yes.

It actually is the more likely reason as to why Imaginationland took 3 months to produce.
 
Well, South Park hasn't always been allowed to show whatever they wanted (ex: Cartoon Wars). So, I guess CC must have someone around to say what is or isn't allowed in an episode.
 
With the way the Jonas's just pranced offstage in the first act, I almost thought they were going to go with the 'Jonas's are gay' reveal at the end. But the ending we got was just as satisfying.
 
Everything has a failure rate. The failure rate of the average condom is somewhat less than, say, the Xbox 360, but there's still always that one in a million chance.
 
Brent Bozell is really misunderstanding the point of the episode. The episode in question wasn't really designed to mock the Jonas Bros. purity rings. It was really a way to bash Disney for pretty much exploiting the Jonas' purity gimmick as an underhanded way to pass them off (and Miley Cyrus and the like) as sex symbols to preteens/tweens. Disney meanwhile, is supposedly this squeeky clean, family friendly corporation, yet they're essentially pulling a fast one on youngsters.

Yeah, I'd call that missing the mark by a mile. I really thought that any worries about people believing that the episode was mocking abstinence itself (as opposed to Disney's manipulative use of Christian beliefs as a marketing tool) would be put to rest when Kenny bloody DIED OF SYPHILIS AS A RESULT OF PREMARITAL SEX, but silly me.
