South Park - "201" - Talkback [4/21]

Theory: this could've been aired as an hour long special (a stealth premier)

I suspect they divided it in two to get away w/ as much as possible in Part 1, then mock the absurdities of censorship in the conclusion. Bleeping the name (overkill), bleeping the lesson (annoying but predictable)

Epic story. Loved "The Killing Joke" callback. Looking forward to "They Call Me Ginger"

Jon Stewart just did an entire segment on the South Park/Mohammed controversy on the Daily Show. He doesn't condemn Comedy Central (saying that they were just playing safe in order to protect their people, which is unfortunate, but true), but burned the hell out of the members of the Revolution Muslim website.

Incredible, definitely check it out. (oh, and be aware of language, of course)

So it's really hard for me to tell... Was all of that bleeping of the various character's doing their speeches for comedy effect or was it genuinely bleeped out?

Yay! Mr. Hankey appears!

Hmm, looks like they're censoring all mentions of you-know-who's name now.

And they didn't pull a "Terrace and Phillip" at the beginning.

is it me, or does Mephesto seem a little... different? maybe its the nose...

whoops, there goes Pip.

so many references to past episodes too...

Nope, not even there.

When's Robert Smith gonna show up? He can kick Babs' butt.

Also, good riddance to Pip. I hope they don't bring him back.

I love how the boys basically broke the 4th wall when they were debating about whether people cared more about the plot or the identity of Cartman's father. Great stuff.

Pretty good job on upping the ante even more on the Muhammad censorship.
