i can turn it around though. whats to say that if you raise him to believe that religious people are whackjobs, he won't one day vote for a much less qualified candidate instead of the clearly better choice just because the better choice is religious?

intolerance is bad, no matter which was it goes. what don't you understand?
 
modern day american christianity is not about respect AT ALL

it's about intollerance, brainwashing and group-think. respect doesn't even enter the equation.
 
Insofar as one wishes to strengthen their faith, understand the context underlying everything in the New Testament, etc., there is a lot to read Whether you agree with it or not or think its toilet paper studying it is a rational means of strengethening one's understanding, if not their faith.
 
Everyone on OT is in their 20's and has the meaning of life and the universe pretty much figured out.

I guess I'll wait while you show me an example of his unique policy positions or anything that makes him better than a numebr of other democratic candidates
 
flimsy evidence to be sure. however, most things we believe about history are based solely on frist hand accounts that have been written and rewritten over thousands of years.

fuck if i know. thats not my point. my point is, who cares? there are a lot of stupid people, religous and non-religous.
