well, he IS in Congress so you could check his voting record and see where he stands on things. But people don't want to do that research. imagine who we would have in office if people cared enough to reserach who they dislike or like
 
Christianity began after Jesus died... Jesus simply changed the basics of Judaism around to fit his own beliefs at the time. When Christianity originally started, it was considered by the Romans to be another sect of Judaism. Of course, it grew to become huge, because a few fundamental differences that made it appealing to the people of that time period. I don't think he (Jesus) ever intended Christianity to become what it is now.

you misinterpretted my statement completely. i wasn't trying to make the point that there is a shit ton of evidence supporting God. i was making the point that we believe tons of shit as fact with little to no reliabe evidence. why is that accpetable but beliving in god with little evidence not?
 
History is important, see, b/c it has this nasty little ability of repeating, especially if one doesn't learn from past mistakes.
Unfortunately, you seem to have gotten hung up on specific examples, and it appears that you're unable to see the bigger picture, which was: Ideas can, indeed, hurt you, especially when said ideas are shared by large groups of people.

He's a good guy and all, but half of the hype over him is still "OMG HES BLACK ".

I'd still vote for him though.
 
Don't you find it funny that they are judging when it should be God/Jesus that does the judging? Damn hypocrites.
 
I get a weird vibe from him... I thought that also...

Then one of my friends explained it...

He said "You see black... But you hear smart... It's counter-intuitive"

So now every time I see him on tv I just close my eyes and it's all good...
 
i wouldnt worry about it, no one will vote for him. there is still to much racism and discrimination of religion to elect a black muslim president of the US
