Scariest film, ever!!

I need help....... I've been to the doctors and they say the rash will go away in a couple of weeks!!............... Doh!!................ wrong forum!!................ sorry!! :o

No, what I mean is I need a scary film and I mean something that will scare the hell out of me, is there such a thing??

I want to see a horror that plays with your mind, something where you don't know who the killer is until the end credits role.

Blood and gutts don't scare me, even if it's real life!! I want something that will give me nightmares, the fear of stepping outside, the fear of living!!

Suggestions please!! I want my skin to crawl, for my eyes pop out, for my brain to explode!!

I want something that makes me beleive that death is better than life!! :D

Have you watched that with no picture then? The guy said no GORE!!!

Theres not much out there thats really scarey, i'd probably say Ringu, Nightmare on Elm Street part 1, The howling 1 and probably something like the Evil Dead (1, not the excellent but not scarey 2&3)

Also, might be worth you looking at 9th Gate with Jonny Depp, it was really panned but is very thought provoking. Also, try some films by the so called master of horror Fucini - ie Zombie (flesh eaters) or the beyond.

Its a bloody good film and well worth the 10 year wait, but in no way is it scarey!! If you really think it is, you shouldnt watch any of the other films mentioned.

Got to agree that Jason comes off as a cinematic hero in the film (especially at the end)

Sorry, but your mate is MAD!!!! Its an ok rip off of things like the Texas Chainsaw massacre which is directed by Rob Zombie - he of the Edge entrance theme fame.

Other classic film is Dawn of the Dead.

Everybody will have different types of scary and different levels of being scared. Take Blair Witch Project for instance, watching that film at night with a bunch of frienRAB absolutely scared the shit out of me, even on repeat viewings it still scares me. A couple of moments from Signs scared me (the kiRAB party, the figure on the roof, etc), even though the film on a whole was disappointing. If you want the scariest film ever, you might not necessarily get the best horror movie ever. And not every film is going to be 100% scary, you might get two or three really scary moments in a film. In a case like this you've gotta go ask those film buRAB but if you want my mainstream opinion I thought 28 Day Later was scary in places, Signs tense and scary in places and Blair Witch very tense leading to one big payoff.

:( Why do you want to be so scared? What happened to you in life that caused you to look towarRAB the occult for solice? Well, no matter. Email me at [email protected] and I'll send you a list of the greatest shock cinema films ever made and where to find them. If you've already seen them, well then believe me, there's nothing more that can scare you (I have a feeling you might have not). Don't worry, these are weird, not mindlessly violent. (well one of em' is. I don't mention what they're called on the forum because I don't want to be banned.)

I would love the list, I'll email you shortly.

Blair Witch I loved, I found it tense and interesting but wanted more.

Signs was ok, could have been a hell of a lot better, too long winded to get to the point of the film.

Not seen 28 days Later so I will add this to my list of films to watch, but I don't think it will match the classic zombie type films, but I will give it a go :)

I dont mind gore, in fact it does make some films, I just think that scary films use this method too much to class it has a horror, simple out of shot scenes can make a film a lot scarier, for example seeing the shadow in action or the helpless scream of the victim ;)

One of the best scenes I like is in American Werewolf in London when they get attacked by the werewolf on the moor's, you don't see much but you feel you are their when you here the flesh been torn and the screams!! :D and the scene in the underground where the guy is being chased, now that was scary!!

The reason why I want a film to scare me to the point of wishing death is better than life is that I haven't found one that scare's me from begining to end, lets hope with all your posts I will conquer my quest :D

I'm not a mental case, honest :p

28 laters was good, for the 1st half of the film I was on edge coz I never knew what was going to happen? I never really got scared the 1st time i watched Blair Witch coz I watched it at the cinema with mates. But the second time I watched it, I watched it in a dark house with jus a few mates, after the film finished I didn't wanna go to the toilet on my own!
Ring 1 and Ring 2 (Japanese Versions) are both creepy, I prefer Ring 2 to Ring 1.
I like the 'creepy' aspect to horror films, summat that makes the film really eerie. I know this was a crap film, but the setting for house on haunted hill I thought was good, the background behind the castle etc etc
