Saw

I saw the previews for this that they couldn't put on air and it scared the crap out of me!! It looks awesome. I'm not sure if I will have enough guts to see it in the theaters. It looks scary enough where I might need my fast forward button next to me ;)

You saw it? How? It's not out until the 29th I thought. Anyway's, come back and tell us more about it.

Ahh too far away. :( And I'll get it even later...

Yes, the early interest is definetly good. You guys have to tell me about it when you see it. It's only a month... and a half away. :pout:

This movie looks so awesome. I can't wait to see it.

I checked over on imdb.com, and it says the release date for the US is October 1st, and for Austrailia it's October 7th. No other ones listed.

They don't have a credit for Jigsaw, so either he's under another name, or they're not telling us who he is, just like they did for Kevin Spacey in Se7en. :look:

Interesting articles, thanks for posting them ;)

Hopefully I can get some money soon and see it in theater. Being poor really does suck

*Sweetie* While I agree with you on most things I think the movie lost power half way through. The car chase, the Rock music and the big thing about who the killer is took away from the ending.

Car chase? Too mundane.
Rock music? Overdone and tired.
Big twist ending? Not that surprising when you know it's coming cause the film basically tells you "it's coming..."

Kudos for who the killer was but it would've been a million times better that after the kid killed Zep, the movie kept going with us believing it's over and when the kid starts freakin out the "dead man" stands up without saying a word and just closes the door. Credits roll.

I loved this movie! It was so original! In fact I love the whole trilogy! It was an awesome story line!

i watched this movie the other night, i really liked it and was really scared not that that is hard to do though ;)

and the ending was sooo unpredictiable

what did you guys think??

OOOH MYYY GOD! I'm like already completely scared only by watching those pictures and reading the reviews.. But .. also dangerously attracted to watch this movie.
Honestly i don't think ill be able to watch it.. Too gore I guess. I reached my limit with movies like Scream or other teen scary movies

I've seen SAW and I enjoyed it. It was very creepy and some of the scenes I wanted to look away.

Okay, I am so obsessed with this film.

This thread cannot die. I won't let it. Not yet, anyway.

Aw, I'm sure we can find something to talk about until then! And generating interest in it early is a good thing!

A bad way...I had trouble working out if it was Cary for sure...because I thought 'this guy is bad at acting..Cary isn't' and then when I realised it was him...I couldn't believe it.

This is the review I posted at the House of Jigsaw board (where director James Wan and writer/actor Leigh Whannell post from time to time):

After seeing it twice already, here are my thoughts...

I thought this film was extrordinary. The writing, directing, cinematography--I was floored. And I thought the acting was just fine. Leigh was perfect as Adam. He added a great blend of humor to the terrifying plot. And his reaction to when the jigsaw killer gets up at the end was just awesome. I thought Cary did a good job, too. I can only imagine how difficult his role must have been to portray.

You guys really outdid yourselves with this one. I'm a huge horror movie buff, but most horror films lately have left me feeling less than impressed (*cough*The Grudge*cough*). Then again, this wasn't your typical gore-fest scary movie. It was more psychological, it made you think and it made you feel for the characters. I love that.

The ending, of course, was beyond brilliant. Did
anyone see that one coming? Truly brilliant. One of the best plot twists of any film. And I love how it ended so openly. A lot of people hate not getting closure, but I think it's great. There's just something about not knowing that makes it all the more intriguing.

Thank you for this exceptional film. I loved every second of it.

Saw came out Oct 1st here in the UK....I thought it would've come out earlier in the US.

Well, I'm wanting to see this film because it looks like one of those films you can't stand to watch, but can't look away from the screen either. I love horror films, and I love gore, so this doesn't bother me one bit. It seems like a good combination of gore and thrills, which is what I like in my horror/slasher flicks. If it exists to only achieve the two things Ambular mentioned (which I doubt is does), well then count me in. :)

See one reason I'm asking is cause I seem to remember him playing a creepy role and playing it really good and thinking.. ugh Cary, no.. but I can't think of it... So I can kinda see what you are talking about..

But first movie I saw him in was TPB and he was a sweetie in that. :)

It looks so messed up but I've watched I think 3 trailers and I've read so much about over at JoBlo.com. I really want to see it.
