Saw

I know.

I was hoping no one else would mention it but now that it's been said, some of the things he mentioned that were said are actually pretty funny.

I still think it'll be scary though.

Clash181 - No problem. :) Yeah, you're right, he was the servant, the prince was an ass. Men in Tights rocks.

So, back to Saw. I'm gonna try to drag all my friends to go see it. Yesterday while I was at the theatre with one of my friends, I was telling her all about it. She seemed interested.

I wanna know how they piece all the freaky stuff together. Do the guys get hallucinations of the pig dude and others? Or is it real? I dunno.....

(Btw...I saw the Princess Diaries 2. It was good. :yay: )

I think JigSaws just a regular looking guy and the clown and pigman thing is like his...henchmen. I'm just guessing though.

I can't wait to see this either even though I'll be looking through my fingers at the screen the entire time.

I think this is the guy who plays JigSaw:

Thanx for answering my question and I realized I said he was a prince, he wasn't right? He was a servent that Princess Buttercup was really mean to until the minute before she was kidnapped and he was "killed."

Anyways, back to "Saw."

Oh wait-he is a great actor, I saw Men in Tights too.

Back to "Saw."

Can I just be the first to say that Cary Elwes is really creepy?! I would never find him attractive. I have no idea what it is about him that makes me feel uncomfortable, but whatever it indeed is I can't dismiss. Sorry ladies.

That said, I plan on skipping this movie. I love a good scare and I love a good classic horror film, but I don't think this qualifies. This seems to be like the kind of gore-fest that simply exists to a) disgust people, and/or b) remind us of how many sick, demented people are out there in the Real World.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no movie snob (Dumb & Dumber is one of my favorites ever :)) but I definitely don't feel like I will gain anything from seeing this crap. No offense to those who liked it.

bumped!

i couldnt resist, i just had to post this. i thought the movie was well written although there were some mediocre acting. but once you get past that, and just focus on the plot, you'd really enjoy the movie more.

Leigh Whannell (the writer of the movie) has talked about his inspiration for a lot of the scenes, scenarios, etc., at this one message board called House of Jigsaw (I don't think you're allowed to advertise other message boards at FF, but just do a google search and I'm sure you'll find the link.) :)

 Yay! A gold star! I feel special now. :D

It was on Page Three or something. This movie does not deserve that. For a while, anyway.

So, has it been released over in the US yet?

Yeah that actually flashed through my mind briefly. Who came up for the different scenarios. How detailed were the schematics ; did the designer lay awake nights imaging it in detail and how many other ideas did they think of that they rejected in the end.
And if there was someone watching going 'cool, I'd like to try that.' :look:
I like watching scary/serial killer movies but a small part of me always wonders how many people enjoy these films for the wrong reasons.

I saw the movie trailer on yahoo and

It looks good. Scary, though.

If I see it, I'll probaly leave all the lights on at night.

hi, i saw this film about 3 weeks ago, and hadnt heard anything about it, but it a great film and i would recommend it to anyone. everyone has to see it at least once!!

like you all i never would have guessed the ending and wont say anything as it would really spoil the film to know in advance.

i agree that scene and the one with the leg was gross.

my favourite charecter was the other guy - not the doctor - have any of them been in anything else?

You've found my thread JacquiJack, Thank you!!

Heres a gold star::star:

I'd thought that the FanForum Phantom had eaten it.

Clash181 - Yeah, Cary Elwes was Wesley in the Princess Bride. He's also been in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, and many others. He's a cool actor. :)

OMG. I like soooooooooo wanna see that now! :bawl: But I live in Sydney, so I doubt it'll even get through the censorship boards here, if it got an NC-17 just for violence. And I don't want anything to be cut. So it'll probably go straight to DVD here, which bites, cause being at the cinema is just so much better! Does any of you know anything about the release of it in Australia? :D

Duude, that pig/man/whatever it is. I love it. When I saw what looked like the promo poster of that pig snout I was like "whatdahell?" and staring at it forever, and then I looked down and saw the... thing... and I now can't stop staring at that. Even now as I type this I have to keep on scrolling down to have another look at it! This pig-man's Jigsaw, right? Or some other thing. Either way... DAMN I wanna see this movie!

EDIT - I was bored and reading it's reviews (all really good!) and apparently this film is made by two Aussie directors! I feel patriotic now. Hee. :D *waves Australian flag*

Seriously! Whew!

I mean, it looks really interesting, but I don't think I can take it. Signs nearly did me in!

Perhaps I'll wait until it comes out on DVD so I can fastforward through it initially to get through it, then watch again once I know what's going to happen...

I just read that this used to be NC-17 and that they had to edit it to get an R rating. I wonder how bad it was to get an NC-17 just from violence.

Heres more pictures:

This thing squicks me sooo much. Clowns and dolls are the scariest things on the face of the Earth.

O.K, clowns, dolls, and weird man/pig things are the scariest things on the face of the Earth.

I haven't seen Life Boat... :look: But I take it I should?

:bump:

Can't wait until it's released here. I'm dying to see it. NOW.

I've yet to see it. But it's Number One on my list as soon as it is releases in Australia!
