Right Stuf's 12 Days of Christmas Sale 2009 Edition Talkback

That price for that Ghost in the Shell movie is also very tempting, but I think I'll wait for the first 2 movies and 2 series first.

yeah, after posting that I realized he had to have known about it. Then I looked up the talkback and saw how much it was disliked. I haven't watched any of the new stuff so have no opinion on it. I did notice a surprising amount of "worst ever" votes on ANN though. Too bad.

I would still say the original series is worth buying at a bargain price, I wouldn't skip a economical collection (but have no interest in the LE's).

Yeah, it seemed pretty obvious to me that this was what he tried to say.
...The rest of the sorta-not-really-second season was pretty good, though, and Endless Eight isn't that bad as long as one doesn't try to watch all of it. All that's really necessary is to watch the first one, pick a random nuraber between 2 and 7 and watch that, and then move on to the last one. Really, one wouldn't be missing anything, and each episode would be genuinely different from the last one.

Wow, now that's a sale. Trigun Remix is a great deal, and an important one since I don't believe its license has been picked up. I don't need it since I have the special remix release with the metal cases, but if I didn't I'd snap it up immediately.

Perhaps I should screen some D.Gray-Man...

Well, I've been meaning to get a start on D.Gray-man, so that bundle is also very tempting to me.

Damn you Rightstuf for making me want to buy this, even though I should be saving my money for Christmas presents and the future. I would also jump at Trigun and D. Grey-man as well, but my parents already finished shopping for me last night.

I got the Trigun DVRAB last June during the super sale thing, so I got each disc for $4 for a total of $24; the deal here's a bit worse, but still not bad for those looking to get 'em.

Awww... I wish I had held off a little longer. I started getting individual volumes of the Trigun Remix release. I spent well over $40 for the first half.

I just ordered the Burst Angel series + OAV Blu-ray set. Not a great show overall, but I want to see how a FUNi TV series looks in Blu-ray, and I'll never see it at that low price at Best Buy. Plus, the Blu-ray set will save me a little shelf space.

Looks like Ouran Host Club is on sale, too. That series comes highly recommended if you want a good balance of comedy and serious moments.

Oh yes. Ouran's one of the best shows I've seen in the last two years. Very highly recommended. There's substance here, but it's also terribly funny. It's arguably more humorous than series that are dedicated 100% to comedy, really. The marvelous dub really helps you warm to the characters too.

Wow. Had I not already bought both of them, I'd be sold on that Ouran deal.

...But as of yet, still nothing for me in terms of interesting sales.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig: Individual 11? I didn't know about this. Again, I'll start from the beginning of Ghost in the Shell with the original movies before I start buying Stand Alone Complex or 2nd Gig, but other than the aforementioned series-based movie which is also on sale, I thought the releases I just mentioned were the only ones.

that Trigun sale is MEGA tempting, I've long wanted to buy that version (where the original theme song animations are kept) but I don't know if I want it at the moment...

All of Ouran High School Host Club for $50 is so very tempting. Despite the fact that I love the show to death, I still haven't bought the DVRAB yet. I can't decide whether or not to buy both parts or wait for the supposedly Complete Collection on Blu-ray...

After a relatively lackluster day 9, day 11 ups the ante considerably:

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World for $24Romeo X Juliet Bundle for $50Heroic Age Bundle for $50The first item, as best as I can tell, was a real flop. I tried it once but I couldn't get into it at all. It was relatively boring and I had no idea what the point of it was after a few episodes. I'm interested in Heroic Age, so I'll stream some episodes online and figure out if I want it. Romeo X Juliet, meanwhile, is one of the best releases this year. Look up the reviews if you haven't.

Day 10 offered Saiyuki Reload Gunlock ($40), Black Blood Brothers ($20) and a Blu-Ray for Origin: Spirits of the Past ($15).

Day 9's sale of GiTS Individual 11 is pretty worthless; it's a mere compilation and 2nd Gig is too good to abridge. There's also a series called Shattered Angels ($25), which doesn't sound terrible but also doesn't tempt me to buy it blind either. Seems possibly Netflix-worthy in my book. Abenobashi ($25) didn't particularly impress me, I think there's much funnier stuff out there (Kodocha, Ouran, Sgt. Frog).
