Right Stuf's 12 Days of Christmas Sale 2009 Edition Talkback

Even if Right Stuf somehow does business without having government issued tax, shipping is still more expensive than tax. Plus, even if your store doesn't carry the item, you can special order online for free. And all of those "special deals" at Right Stuf are Walmart's average every day price for season 1.

I don't feel the need to pounce for this "deal." I'll wait for something else.

If you are paying for shipping, then you are not shopping properly at rightstuf. I always do the free shipping option myself, No tax, no shipping plus I have the 10% off merabership card. The 10% off is not applicable to the 12 days of Xmas but it is great during the year round promotions (e.g. Funimation sale at 40% off so I get the 40% off plus an extra 10% off that).

Meh, I think he has a point. If you're shopping for stuff you can get at Wal-mart for about the same price, you're not making good use of Rightstuf, best reserved for stuff you'll never see in a brick and mortar, or at least not any time soon.

To clarify, the calculation is 40% of the retail price, and then 10% off that discounted price. So it's 46% total, not 50%. Still mighty fine, though.

I pre-order all the One Piece Voyages, but this is great for people who haven't started to buy the series yet. Code Geass is the most tempting to me so far.

hmm, time for me to finish off sasami.

interesting to see everything that's on sale too - guess even the rightfully lauded haruhi ultimately didn't move LEs like Bandai had hoped.

I somewhat agree Inna on this subject, when I order the first One Piece dvd set from them. They charged me $47.00, when the set was $37.49. Maybe because, rightstuf is in my state of Iowa and chaged the Iowa state taxes. Making it even more expensive. Thats why I continued shopping at Overstock and Amazon, where you can get most of the more cheaper. Since when I order from them I save a lot more cash then I would with rightstuf.

Shame, the first season is pretty much all I have of One Piece (that and, for some reason, season two third voyage)...

Had this included the three Season Two sets that I'm missing, I would've jumped at the chance.

Day 5 sales:

Mezzo Collection for $16Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society for $8Big Windup! [strike]Season 1[/strike] bundle for $60Now we're talking. I don't have Solid State Society yet, and I'll certainly never beat that price. Windup also seems ideal for those that like sport cartoons.

A quick search suggests it doesn't. The packaging actually just says part 1 and part 2, whereas the "season" thing seems to be something that Rightstuf put in all on its own.

while not technically a second season, a renewal/continuation of Haruhi just ended in Japoan this October. And a movie is being released this February. Seems to me the franchise is still alive.

Although, since it's based on ongoing light novels it'll most likely have as much of a resolution as Full Metal Panic... as in... none.

Personally though, I'm just interested in the series, so limited editions don't interest me. Give me a thin pack edition thank you.
