Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

I was thinking about past Geass events just now and found that Suzaku was more sympathetic than I'd originally thought.

I have to go fill my head with bleach now to purge the unclean ideas from my mind.

YAY. My official review of the episode! Before I start, I recommend reading this --->
http://animeotaku.animeblogger.net/2008/09/code-geass-r2-25-so-is-lelouch-dead-or-not/

It's extremely hard to explain my feelings. I'm very angry, but also pleased because as much as there wasn't any closure and none of those backstabbing characters should have gotten the ending they did...it really feels like the show is over and the book is shut -no loose pages. Although it's semi-open about the fate of Lelouch, I'm quite convinced that he obviously hasn't, or couldn't have died *see link above* (sadly i'm still trying to convince myself of this in the process, all things considered. Even if there was no arabiguity, it was handled well enough that I'm not as pissed off now as I was.) His death scene was probably the saddest moment I've ever witnessed in anime or Tv. It was stunningly beautiful and as much as I was ticked off about it, I couldn't help but cry. Full on CRY. The insert song pretty much made the event. With out it I don't think any of what happened would have been so powerful. I wasn't expecting it though, to be honest. I was shocked to see Suzaku do what he did and no matter how hard I want to hate this series, seeing the episode now for the 3rd time, I just can't bring myself to do it. Lelouch could dead, regardless of the evidence against it, and I'm angry, but the fact that there is a chance he isn't makes me feel at ease. Yeah, I jumped to conclusions the second I found out what had happened in episode 25, but my initial thought was always 'if they kill Lelouch I'll damn this series'. The sheer audacity of the last 10 minutes or so blew me away. His 'death' so to speak, wasn't tossed around like a piece of meat, and I think that lessens my anger. That's not to say I still don't want to blow up the company for constructing such crap. Because yea it WAS crap for most of the season. *flips them off*

The Suzaku vs Kallen fight was a great way to go out, battle wise. The fact that Suzaku took over the position of Zero I also liked, because even though hes becoming the thing he hated, he is also becoming a hero that could live on.
Orange working at an Orange farm just adRAB to the irony. xD Seeing Todoh made me happy, and Xingke too. Thank god he didn't die.

- I don't like seeing all those characters happy and glad Lelouch is dead, especially after everything he did and everything he tried to accomplish for them. Ougi should be at LEAST a little upset, but no, now he's got a child on the way. I suppose I'm a little happy for him but I'd rather see karma bite them in the ass a tiny bit before Code Geass fades off the face of the earth. Regardless, being a happy person myself I can't be angry at seeing other people glad. In regarRAB to Suzaku? Nunally knows he's alive as Zero. I guess for him, it all enRAB pretty well, same for a few other characters that figured it out.

- Of course I believe that Lelouch is alive. I mean, I would rather visual evidence instead of theoretical evidence, since seeing is easier than simply believing, but I want to truly think Lelouch didn't die and is traveling along with C.C. after all, she did talk to him at the end.

So yeah, all in all, this show was a trainwreck, but at despite the fact that it ended in flames, the last episode slightly saved the poor souls trapped inside. I hope they choose to make a movie or a continuation some how.
I'm surprised I actually got it right when I said that Lelouch would become the common enemy and reach peace through a 'death' that would allow others freedom as well. *dances* TOLD YA SO TOLD YA SOOOO
He's a saint, yanno?

I suppose I feel alright. I can't believe it's really over. This episode didn't feel like it belonged to Code Geass.

Get help, please.

As for why keep her alive- that would seem to tie back into the chess game a few eps back. The Prince now knows that Zero fights with honour and will attempt to protect his 'pawns'. Therefore, keep a key one alive and you gain an advantage over Zero/Lelouch in more ways than one.

Hmm...decent episode, though it was mostly buildup for what's coming. I liked how Lelouch's alliance was being trumped up as this super ideal thing, only for Charles to appear to freak him out.

Eh, Suzaku has something planned for the meeting, you just know it. I wonder if he can be turned; this borab of Nina's could be a line that he won't cross. C.C.'s condition is as sad as expected, but I'm still holding out hope that she'll recover.

A schism within the Black Knights is definitely a concern. The operation against the Geass cult could get out, and what will happen if Lelouch's identity is revealed is anybody's guess. For all we know, Charles will leak the information at just the right time to create problems.

I suppose that's true. I posted it because I could almost envision it happening after what went on in 13. I mean, it likely won't, but if it did I would find it believable.

Is there anybody on his show just evil for the sake of being evil? That know they are evil, and don't care. A simple one dimetional villain.

I thought Charles was going to be that person, but it turns out even he had in his mind good motives, he thought he was right.

Everyone in this show have good and evil in them. Some do evil things for good reasons, others to good things for evil reason, etc.

The stupidity of the action will give out a message all by itself.
BK will immediately be forced to stop all hostilities against Britannia because otherwise Britannia would just take Japan back. This means the BK would become useless to India and China, as such all the funding, men and technology would be withdrawn. BK would no longer be welcomed in Chinese territory, so they would have to go to Japan. And there, with no weapons, money, or even an escape route, the BK would be killed off by Britannian soldiers.

Um...guys, I just went through a very traumatic experience.

On another forum that I go on, someone didn't see the last episode of R2 so they had no idea of the whole bondage thing that was going on.

Being the net-friendly person, I decided to inform him of the bondage and extreme fan-service that had been going on in the story of Code Geass. So of course, to find the pictures I made two fatal mistakes

1. I tried to look for the pictures on google
2. I typed in the worRAB "Geass bondage"

Oh...my...god. I don't think I can talk about this anymore. (Oh my god, how could Kallen twist Lelouch and Suzaku in the...oh. I think I'm gonna be sick)

Well we saw them in the first episode, but it was in terms of bunny girls, pit fighters, and working on construction crews so I'm not sure that is the three categories all 11's fall into...

I'm not really sure what type of day to day existence the "regular" japanese person leaRAB in area 11. Hopefully an episode will give us more of an overview on what has happened since the failed rebellion and showing a greater range of what their lives look like.

I don't think that's it. I think he wanted her as close to him as possible--away from the corabat against Suzaku. Depending on how much you believe Lelouch planned things, it's also possible that he wanted the opportunity to at least die next to Nunally.

IIRC Anya is around 16, maybe 15, one of those nurabers, and the murder was 8 years ago so, it isn't to out of the question that she may be connected with Marianne, or C.C.

I feel bad for her though, that must suck basing your whole life on photos that make no sense to you =(

They're eventually going to have to grovel for Lelouch's aid again. I mean really, the last few episodes have just been like the creators said 'Ok, let's just have everything fall to pieces to keep the audience watching'. Lelouch's life has been a massive downer lately. There is going to have be an upper where, rather than condeming him, he's acknowledged as being needed.
