Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Srsly, and Milly too. Her dress was like GAH. Can I say that I absolutely hate her 'engagement' with Lloyd? Every time they mention it I fall over. Just nononono. Their honey moon would be like, Milly trying to seduce him with Mecha pajamas or something.
It should be him and Cecile!! Cecile!!!

What does this humane thingy have to do with revolutions. Your not much of a student of history. Go Chairman Mao....err, I mean Chairman Lelouch!

Looking at the photo it appears Zhou Xianglin is together with Kento of the Black Knights. It looks like she has her arm hooked through his.

BTW did Xingke die? You'd think he'd be in the wedding photo. Tianzi is there but not him and he led the Black Knights in battle. I'm pretty sure there was a glimpse of him as a prisoner in the parade, but he's not in the wedding photo that I see.

Having Rolo show up to fix that little problem at the begining was rather dissapointing. Lulu would have been in far worse shape if he had to outright tell Nunally that she was mistaken rather than to first tell her that has to pretend he doesn't know her.

I'm in full agreement of the sentiments that he should have just grabbed Nunally and explained things later. However, there could be merrit in letting her try to revive Euphie's original plan and because he failed to get her he is slightly in the clear in the sense that Zero possibly did try to take her or attack her and Suzaku wouldn't believe Lelouch could attack her but because he could have been "rescuing" her that keep Lelouch from being entirely in the clear. It seems like just the right amount of tension.

I'm dig'n the flying robots. There neeRAB to be some more of those.

Shirley:"Lelouch is Zero, Villeta-sensei is a soldier, Kallen is with the Order of the Black Knights..." INSERT PRODUCT PLACEMENT HERE!!!!!

Today's episode was tragic. Even though I knew what was going to happen

(BECAUSE OF SOME PEOPLE! DON'T LOOK AT THE SPOILER TAG MY A**. YOU KNOW I WASN'T GOING TO RESIST THAT...)

Sorry, I had a moment there. Anyway, today's episode was good. It was all Lelouch/Shirley for the episode and it ended in a sad climax. Lelouch trying over and over to Geass Shirley and tell her not to die was extremely powerful moment and it made me almost cry (And we're talking, like, FMA tears. You know like the whole Nina story. That's how sad I felt). I also loved how Cornellia is still her badass self. She's just 10 times hotter now. V.V. is still a jerk (the uncle comment was interesting) and now Orange-kun is an ally. Which ought to lead to some very interesting battles in the future.

As for the OP, FLOW delivers well as usual. My favorite band in my opinion (Second is AKFG tied with Beat Crusaders and Third is LM.C). even if COLORS was more memorable, WORLD'S END will stay in my memory too. It looks like the Guren's arm is gonna upgrade, but the question of will it fight with or against the Lancelot is kinda up there. Also, I think when it showed all those Knightmare Frames next to each other like that, I think they were all in the Order. (Does that mean that Anya and Gino will join?)

As for the ending, like I said, typical ALI PROJECT. Their songs depress me all the time which I think is a good thing.

Looking foward to next week as usual.

I have asked about the R2 english cast, and what I have found out so far.

Gino will be played by Dave Wittenberg, and Anya will be voiced by Stephanie Sheh.

I wonder who is going to voice Marianne, who can get the right level of crazy?

I don't think R2 has gone that well, since it does obviously have problems, but I believe people have the right to disagree about specifics *and* about what they think regarding the show in general.

There's a lot of room between "OMG BEST SHOW EVER" and "OMG WORST SHOW EVER", you know.

In this particular case, I actually enjoyed episode 23. Not the "best episode ever", but the action moved at a relatively reasonable pace and actually had a battle I liked, which has been a rarity. There were also some things I disliked, like the apparent fate of a certain character, but not to extent of pissing me off.

And for one, I don't really mind

Viletta's (early, seemingly) pregnancy.

It's such a minor thing that I don't have any reason to make a big deal about it, either way.

Honestly, when it comes down to it, this was the best option for Lelouch. These children had been toyed with their whole lives, they essentially would have been Rolo's, no family, no love, just born to be killers, and unfortunately there just isn't a future for children like that. Although he was originally going to just "Use" the Cult, I'm not so sure that it would have worked out all that well, V.V. isn't exactly a push-over, and I feel as if C.C. would have been in danger had he gone through with that plan. While Shirley's death definately propelled him, his actions weren't exactly monstrous, it's not like this was some innocent village, this was a place where weapons were being made from humans, better left destroyed.

That and even though he lied, I don't think it's as many lies as they're trying to make us believe. He lied about who he was, but his goal wasn't really that off from what it is now. Sure, save Nunally, but in the process he'd also liberate Japan.

I was also thinking about season ones end, and the fact that Suzaku was shocked over the fact that it was Lelouch under the helmet. What if they never told us WHO Zero was until the end as well? Like, we are given certain facts and know it's somebody from the academy, but with no identity to the name. Then during the big reveal during the last episode we as viewers find out it's Lelouch at the same time Suzaku does.
I wondered if they could have pulled that off, and how it would have worked? [if even possible]

Suicide is just another word for escape. It's weak and easy and never solves anything. I think if Suzaku wanted to be strong he would have done away with those thoughts a long time ago. At least now that he is closer to Nunally he has something else worth protecting. That should be a reason for anybody to keep living.

That kind of 'female fan service' from the 'depressed' episode isn't the same at all, and only appeals to people who are into the yaoi male x male relationship anyways. If they wanted to promote fan service for women like they do for men in geass, they'd make Suzaku's ass stick out in his tight suit or Lulu's groin clearly visible in his pants. The relationship with Rolo was amusing for about .5 second until the series began pimping Lulu with Kallen instead. [While Rollo looks like the innocent uke type, Lulu isn't reciprocating those feelings so it really doesn't matter] I don't enjoy seeing women's chests the size of beach balls every single episode or a pointless panty shot for the hell of it.
While I can't really talk considering I won't deny the fact that I like to see a scantly clad man every now and then in my anime, it is never necessary in any series unless it's absolutly needed by the plot. Once and awhile isn't a crime -but constantly is just annoying. I read yaoi to feed my guilty pleasure; I watch anime for a whole different reason.

I still am yet to find a doujin with the both of them in it.

Code Geass R23: A 40 year old Lelouch still hasn't graduated nor taken down Britannia. Worse, CC's metabolism finally balanced out...the world's door frames have never known such pain.

They're teasing us.

According to the character chart on the official website, Guilford, Asahina, Romeier, Sayoko and Nunnally are all "missing", not "dead". Luciano's dead for sure, though.
