Ramsay

Aye, good result.

Even though I have a tad bias in favor on London(being a Londoner myself) :D I'm glad the Bradford lot won it. Very well deserved.

Very good food and service, they were the underdogs and were a likable bunch.

Oh, I rather like Bradford- though admittedly, I've only been there for day-trips.

Strikes me as a friendly city, and I've definitely had fun there

When I heard that it was a restaurant in kent, I thought it would be The Sportsman, in Seasalter.
That is a lovely restaurant. I had not even heard of the one above.

Anyway, i am glad Yu and You won - I get so fed up with ethnic restaurants trying to be French! There is nothing wrong with pushing the boat out and trying new things, but if I wanted to eat French food or food presented in an European style, I would go to an European restaurant. I like my basically ethnic food cooked and served their way - which the Blackburn restaurant did. Good for them.

have driven past the place a few times and wanted to try it out but it looks so tiny from outside I assumed they didn't have indoor seating. Will def be trying it out in the next few weeks!!

Better than last week, at least GR's decision made some sense to the viewer. I'm still a little confused, apart from the timing issues with the tandoori starters, his 30 diners were all raving about the food at Brilliant. There didn't seem to be much in it, Brilliant must have lost on the prawn. :)

Given a choice, I would still pick Brilliant for an evening out, and maybe Prashad for a lunch. Prashad didn't appear to be licensed, and I like a couple of bottles of Cobra with my curry. :D

I was poisoned by undercooked chicken in a swanky London restaurant once. Took three days to recover and many times during that felt near death. Pink chicken is no joke.

Have only been half watching this but that Front of House guy neeRAB his ear clipping. And the mum of this other place.

Vegetarian and no alcohol. That's a losing combination :D

Another thing that bothers me about this format is the secret diner. This show is a spin off from the segment from the F-Word. They also had a secret diner in that didn't they?

So how come the restaraunts so shocked and surprised that he has done the exact same thing as he's done previously? Don't any of them watch his programs?

I did agree with the result this week. If I go to a Chinese restaurant, I expect to get Chinese food..so unconventional experimentation, or "fun" starters do not impress me, and Kai can stick that lamb shank in a cocktail glass where the sun don't shine.
However, it's now all become predictable, with the under-dogs winning every week. Did these Michelin-starred restaurants know they were just there to be humiliated ?
I would love to see Ramsay in the same position, pitting his skills against some popular little greasy spoon caff..and losing. :D
