I'd like to see more Clive Anderson, David Mitchell and John Sessions.

Anderson especially offers a good sense of humour along with interesting and intelligent answers. He also speaks in a way that invites a response, as seen in the many times he has been on. He asks a lot of questions too.

I've never seen Ol' Bazza on a panel game before, and last night I got an idea why - he was like a fish out of water, made little contribution and looked like he really didn't want to be there!

Vegas made this episode unwatchable for me. I'm a huge David Mitchell fan but had to turn off once JV started his usual nonsense.

QI is one of my favourite shows and I hope he is never on it again.

Hava Nagila - It's a Hebrew folk song that we used to sing in school.

By the way can somebody tell Lee Mack that just shouting is not comedy!

Ah.

This error is because I got the QI annual for Christmas or my birthday (can't remeber which) and there's a photo of Barry Humphries on the programme in it. This must be from the programme shown on Friday, but because I received the book before the programme was screened, I assumed when I read the book that he'd been on before.

Strangely enough, I do remember him being on the show before, but he wasn't, so I don't.

I found tonight very odd. Usually I adore David Mitchell and enjoy Rob Bryden in anything but they seemed somewhat neutered by Johnny Vegas's abstract self-indulgence and Alan Davies was almost invisible. I don't always mind JV - on a programme in which he is centre stage he can be amusing (and I actually think he's a talented actor) - however, he's not a great addition to a panel.

I did quite like Rob's comment about his parents asking if Johnny could be moved to another class. Probably because I agreed with it...

Before QI "moved" it had already become a slightly different show, just a bit more self-aware?

I have watched a few bits after the move and found it not worth watching, maybe it's just gone on too long for anyone but it's biggest fans?

The length of series 'G' is also 16 episodes. Extending the number of episodes is a sure sign of impending doom. The only reason to do it is ratings.

Anyway, looking up the details of QI I find that the original producer left after series 'E' which coincides with it's move and decline in my view.

Original producer/creator was the famed John Lloyd.

New one is Piers Fletcher who apparently had not produced before and was just a researcher on the show previously.

His CV is a comedy gem though:

"Before working in television, Fletcher served in the British Army, where he was in charge of the northernmost Observation Post in Hong Kong, meaning that if China invaded, he would have been one of the first soldiers to have faced them.

After leaving the army he went to study at Balliol College, Oxford, and then left to become a commodity broker in the City of London specialising in potato futures, where he worked for twenty-two years."

That guy in the bright green shirt or whateer - YUCK.

Instead of being edgy by coming up with something insightful and thought provoking, he just wears outlandish clothes to be different...how phony and boring....

Agree about Ross Noble.

Just been researching about how many teeth hipppos have and QI's wrong again! They have between 36-42 teeth according to various sources on a google search. 4 are the most visible which are like tusks.

Still one of the only Must see shows around. Has it's duller moments, but is a consistently interesting show. It is mainly good if the facts are good, so long as they concentrate on the trivia and don't turn it into a typical comedy panel show (which it can veer into, such as the play acting tonight) it sould easily go on for another 19 series and complete it's alphabet of trivia... Oh and don't have Phil Jupitas on it either

But that's the funniest thing on the show. QI is always at it's best when they pick up on something and just bounce the humour off of each other.

Agree with the Ross Noble comments. He's just not funny. He just tries to be spaced out and random.

I hated him on Buzzcocks too :(

He seems to be becoming a regular here too. I wish he'd fall back into obscurity :(
