I think it's because she is a bit of a one-trick horse. All her humour, and indeed what she made her name in doing when she was first released to the comedy world, was the fat jokes.
I'm not her biggest fan as every comment on any panel show seems to be about being fat or a woman or both.
Whereas the other guests can come up with relevant jokes (most of the time) and one liners specifically about the subject in question or topical humour at time of recording whereas Jo Brand just drags it down the "fat woman" alley all the time. It gets a bit "samey". Oh look, another fat woman / unattractive / low expectations on who I would like to shag jokes. It doesn't really fit in with what's being said. Ok for a stand up act, but you need to forget that when taking part in a themed or topical show.
There's nothing worse, in my opinion, than a comedian suffixing their punchline with the elongated "errrr" when they've delivered their line as if they haven't got anything to follow on with and waiting for audience appreciation which I'm afraid Jo Brand does quite a lot.
