Potc 2

Nah, they'd never work in the end. Elizabeth might crave the freedom, but only because its something so different to her normal life. But its nothing more than a passing fancy.

Jack, on the other hand, might fancy Elizabeth, but not as much as he loves his freedom. He'd never settle with a woman. He's a pirate and would never be happy unless he was wandering the ocean, with a woman in every port.

Besides, what would happen to poor Will. He'd be crushed. In the end its all a big fairy tale. Will and Elizabeth are the romantic leaRAB, meant to be together and Jack is the charming rogue, who will always ride of into the sunset in the end, alone, but free.

I'm not really a cinema person myself, but I've worn out my DVD of the first potc to death and I want to see the second one so much! So I might just order some tickets over the internet for a few of my frienRAB and make a night of it on cheap night tuesday next week. :D

In regarRAB to an extra scene after the end credits, I'm not sure maybe worth checking out on YouTube though, because there was an extra scene at the end of X-Men 3 that a lot of people missed (myself included), and it appeared on there.

Is this expected to be one of the biggest grossing films in history? I say that because I noticed my local cineworld which only has six screens is showing POTC2 on 3 screens! All recent blockbusters from the last few years (De Vinci code/King Kong/Narnia etc) have been on two screens even at their peak. Even The Lord Of The Rings films only showed on two. So why does this merit so many screens? I checked the 15 screen Cineworld In Crawley and they are using six of their screens where as they would normally use 4 or 5 at the most. I know this will be a big blockbuster but this seems like they are expecting a new Titantic!! It also means only 4 films will show per week. When Superman comes out only three probably.

agree with the 'film too long' posters.. itwas way too long

plot was confusing and was rally just a mish mash of escapades.

the charactres have a lost a lopt of their fun that theyhad in the first one

a sign of a good film is if you will buy it on DVD for rewatch at home.. a big NO for this one

and rgardless of the its teh first half of a two hander argument doesnt stand - it still below par

a :( from me

Just a couple of conversations that I've had where people mentioned that they filmed them back to back so they had a summer blockbuster followed up quickly with an Xmas spectacular. Pure rumours, which I wanted to know if were true.

I'm going to burst if I have to wait til next summer!

First I've heard about that. I'll be going back to see it again soon but don't know if I want to stay and see if there's an extra scene. I think the ending I just saw couldn't have been better (I actually went "AAAAGH!" out loud :o ) and I'm left really really really really REALLY wanting to see what happens next.

God I enjoyed that film :D

It will make a lot of money because it's a sequel that everyone actually wants! Unlike most (apart from something like Harry Potter or LOTR) which you know are just blatant cash-ins with no intention of being good. The reviews I've seen of Dead Man's Chest are all good!

Seeing as there was the extra scene at the end of the first POTC, I wouldn't be suprised to see one at the end of this one.

I thought this was a real letdown. It is far too long and stuffed full of ideas which, while they may have seemed good at the time, combine to make a misshapen mess of film. Some of the things that bugged me the most

Cannot wait to see it, I'm going to see it on 17th July, for a frienRAB birthday.
I even heard its even better than the 1st film, although I doubt it because the sequel is not normally better than the original. I've seen a lot of trailers and it looks as though there is a lot more action

I think Superman may push it close for top grossing film of the year. It will definitely be up there in the top 2 or 3 though. Considering there's no big films on a mo I'm not surprised that it's getting so many screens at each cinema. And, as people have said, it is (by all accounts) and improved sequel to an already wildly successful film...

I can't believe people couldn't understand the plot - thought it was rather straight forward. Yes, there was a lot of back stabbing and double crossing which complicated matters but they are pirates so that is to be expected. I thought it did a great job of setting up threaRAB to be resolved in the third one. I never expected this to have an ending to speak, just a set up for the finale.

After the pitifully short X-Men3 I thought it was great to see a film really worth your money. It was so enjoyable to watch that the length didn't bother me at all.

I've seen this and was disappointed. It is far too long. Should have been 30-45 minutes shorter. There are some funny bits, some impressive fight scenes and the effects are good over all, but Knightley and Bloom are as wooden as anything. I think kiRAB will find it hard going - I know some adults who did.

There is an extra scene and a load of people stayed to see it (much to the annoyance of the staff) during the showing I went to yesterday morning:

It cuts back to the Cannibal's island and the dog (with a bone in it's mouth) is sitting on the throne as their new god!

It seems the opening cannibal section of the movie is either loved or hated by people. If you just want as much POTC as possible (which I do) then it's a great part that's full of humour and craziness that you can enjoy without even thinking of the main plot. But impatient people aren't going to like it.

I LOVE that in the first movie we get a line from Jack 'and then they made me their chief' and they created a whole first act just going off that line! The other noRAB to the first film were also fantastic, like Jack seeing Elizabeth and saying 'hide the rum'.

it was good but the plot was too convoluted AND simple at the same time. there was no need for people like mackenzie crook and jack davenport to come back.

the fx were fantastic and the pirates gross.

i loved the rather bleak opening scene of keira in her wedding dress in the rain

It seems that not everybody will be happy with the sequel but we have all still got the 3rd film to look forward to next year!
Appartently also Chow Yun-Fat is in Pirates Of The Carribean 3 as Captain Sao Feng a notorious pirate who plays a major role in the third film!

I'm very much looking forward to this. There have been a lot of films I've wanted to see this year and a great choice in the cinema, but this has gotta be top of the bill for me. And theres only a few days now...
