Popular cartoons that you never got into

So you know a cartoon is popular and people love it, but for some reason you could never get into it. You watched a couple of eps here and there but didn't have the interest to keep going. What popular cartoons did you never get into?

MODERATOR NOTE: REMEMBER THE LIST THREAD RULE. DESPITE ITS ORIGINS, THIS THREAD SEEMS TO BE GENERATING A FAIR AMOUNT OF DISCUSSION, HOWEVER LIST POSTS WILL BE DELETED AND POKES/WARNINGS HANDED OUT AS NECESSARY.

Wow, you really missed out on some great stuff, but hey, if it wasn't for you then it wasen't for you. I never got into YuGiOh, DigiMon or Pokemon and all three were extreamly popular, I tried too, but I just couldn't do it. If I had to pick one of those three series to sit down and try again with it would have to be YuGiOh, but I don't think that will ever happen. I also tried to get into X-Men Evolution, but it was just horrible and I couldn't get through a whole episode no matter how hard I tried, same goes for The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, Voltron, any incational of Power Rangers (even if it isn't animated), Ren & Stimpy and a host of different anime series (which is funny because I love anime).

FullMetal Alchemist - sounds really engaging, but I couldn't get through the first volume of the manga, nor the anime
Teen Titans - Sorry, this show just didn't grab me

South Park, Family Guy -- too crude for my tastes.
The simpsons, Spongebob -- Not my particular brand of funny.
Teen Titans, pretty much anything that ever came out of Japan -- artwork too horrid to look at.

Okay...

Pinky and the Brain - To be honest, I don't think they were even that good enough to get a spinoff. Slappy Squirrel would've been a better choice, IMO.

Batman: Brave and the Bold - It looked a little too goofy sometimes...I was more used to the gritter and darker Batman from Batman: The Animated Series. If I wanted a goofier Batman, I'd watch the live action TV show.

Family Guy - Even when it debuted almost 10 years ago, I just couldn't get into it. I just never found it funny.

Spongebob Squarepants - Similar to Family Guy. This could also mean I was in my teens and growing out of Nick, since Cartoon Network spolied me back in the day.

Yugi-Oh - I never understood those types of series to begin with. Every time they play their cards, they blab their strategy and so forth.

Naruto

I'll come up with more later

Some other cartoons to add to my list that I never really enjoyed (but I tried) would be the slew of Nick's cartoons from the mid to late 90's (Doug, Rocko, Rugrats, Ah Real Monsters, ect, ect, ect). I know people loved them and it was considered to be good quality stuff, but it was never my cup of tea and once I realized they were not up my alley I avoided them all together.

For some reason, I could never get into Pinky & the Brain. I thought that P&B were funny on Animaniacs, but I never thought that those characters needed their own show. I guess one reason was because P&B's basic formula; trying (unsuccessfully) to take over the world every night, was best taken in small doses. Rehashing that same formula week after week just got old for me. Later, there was a very serious attempt on WB's part to expand P&B beyond the "try to take over the world" formula, but P&B simply didn't have deep enough personalities to become the next Simpsons.

Another series that I could never get into was Rugrats. I know that it was one of the most popular Nicktoons of all time, but Rugrats' style of humor was just never my cup of Joe.

Guys, let's try to explain our choices to keep this thread from being locked.

I personally could never get into One Piece. It's just boring and overrated to me, and every time I try to watch it (five times), it just keeps getting worse in my opinion. The fact that the fanbase is annoying doesn't help either.

Seriously, it's just another shonen.

I could never get into Nickelodeon's Doug. I know that it was one of the first Nicktoons and a lot of people really enjoyed it, but it just never clicked with me. I guess I just found the whole show to be a little too squeaky-clean for my tastes, and the title character was just a tad too vanilla bland for my liking. The 'mouth music' didn't do much for me either. (I can't comment on Disney's Doug since I barely saw it.)

Another Nick show which never sailed with me was Hey, Arnold!. Again, this show has/had a lot of loyal fans, and I'm not faulting them in the least, but Arnold was another show I could never get into. Part of the reason was because a great deal of the characters annoyed me; most of them ran the gamut from one-note to downright irritating, and Arnold himself was another annoyingly moralistic, goody-goody type who existed to solve everyone's personal problems. Hey, Arnold! just wasn't my cup of Joe.

I guess I just like my cartoons to have a little more bite to them; I personally consider Rocko's Modern Life to be the single greatest thing that Nick has ever put on the air.

Avatar. When it first came out, I had already distanced myself from Nick and anything on there, so I assumed this was another bad show and didn't watch it. Then when it turned out to be good, I was intrigued, but I didn't watch because it's one of those shows where you have to watch it from the beginning to understand everything that's going on.

I also never got into Samurai Jack.

Hmm.

Spongebob (it's so babyish. No offense)
South Park, Simpsons, Familt Guy, and other populary animated comedies.
Fullmetal Alchemist (I don't know why)

And others.

Well, if this thread is meant to discuss shows that were popular that I don't like, than I'd say Invader ZIM. I like quirky and weird, but in small doses. Zim was torture to me. Every other scene made my eye twitch. Watching it back now on the occasional Nicktoon airing, it's sort of funny, but I still retain my loathing of the dirtiness that the whole show is fueled by. That's one of the problems I have with Flapjack, but Flapjack himself is way to cute and the show is way too funny for me not to watch it because of the grossness. But Flapjack's nowhere near as dark as Zim. I'd even go as far to say that Ren and Stimpy isn't as dark as Zim.

Like many, I never got into Family Guy, mainly because I can't stand the characters. Same with American Dad. And there are shows that I have watched for awhile and decided that I don't want to watch it anymore, including Spongebob, which is downright silly. And I don't understand why King of the Hill is still on; that show hasn't changed since day one.
