Pokemon Movie 13- Ho-oh Vs. Lugia?

That's true. It's because of the two new Pokemon games, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, that will be coming out in Japan this Septeraber. That's pretty much the only reason Ho-oh and Lugia apparently have their own movie now in order to promote these games.

I was actually expecting a fifth generation Pokemon, legendary or not, to be the center focus of this movie, but I do like how Ho-oh and Lugia have their own kind of movie. Besides, I could see a baby Pokemon from the fifth generation making an appearance, similar to how Muchlax and Bonsly appeared in minor roles in both the Deoxys and Lucario movie.

I'm also glad that the trailer confirmed that the series name, Diamond and Pearl, wouldn't be changing. I didn't think that they would change the series name for the remakes.

Well they muscled in Regigigas in Movie 11, Heatran is in Movie 12 according to promotional art for it. I believe they're reserving the Lake Trio for the TV Series. Cresselia and Phione made appearances in the TV Show as well.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they sneak in some Sinnoh Pokemon in the next movie.

If the info's right about him being the creator of all Pokemon then yes, to all of us he is the God of the Pokemon universe.

I mean what else can Nintendo do with the legendaries except...I don't know evolve them? I mean we've had enough of them to last us a good while. With remake after remake of the games, they'll still be implanted in our brains for a few good years to come.

Even on Serebii.net, the info for it from Pokemon Platinum said:

"It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world."

And if the commercial's nothing but Lugia and Ho-Oh fightinh all because of promoting the new HeartGold/SoulSilver games then why are we still thinking that they'll have a movie of their own next year? I mean maybe unlike their other films, Shogakukan and Nintendo wanted to change things and are probably still thinking as to what the new movie will bring. So they make a short commercial telling us about the new games coming to the Nintendo RAB to tide us over until more plans of the film are finalized.

I still fail to see how that automatically makes Arcues a figure like the Christian God. A Shinto god, maybe, but Christian?

Like I said, Arceus isn't being treated any differently, in Japan, from any other legendary pokemon.

Because people love to jump to conclusions.

HGSS comes out in Septeraber. The new movie will come out in July 2010. So by the time the new movie's out, the games will have already been out for ten months. Why base an entire movie around a remake that's almost a year old when it's not unlikely that we'll know something regarding a fifth generation by this time next year?

Oh, yeah, there's Cresselia and the three magical thingies, too... I'd bet one of those two, any maybe Raikou, will be in Movie 13. Along with Ho-oh and Lugia, of course.

Which makes me wonder if this'll be the same Lugia from Movie 2, or maybe from the TV series. Same with Ho-oh; is it the same one that Ash sees all the time?

Ok, so it was just a teaser. But it feels weird to me that this teaser is just proving the movie's existence because it seems that this teaser was promoting the new HGSS remakes more than the actually movie. It just seems weird to way we're going to prove the movie's existence by promoting the new video game.

Ah Johoto my favorite region and gen. Lugia is one of my favorite legendary pokemon and probably the reason I got Silver for my gameboy. To me Pokemon has run it's course after Ruby/Saphire. It neeRAB to end, and about Ash, he neeRAB to bang Misty already and leave pokemon training for for good, he's clearly at elite four level already with him beating a legendary all that. NeeRAB to be the Pokemon Master. And that Pikachu neeRAB to evolve already.

It's time for the 5th generation boy or girl, no?

Anyway, it'll be nice to se them fight. I guess Lugia gets its in-movie-after-the-opening-scenes cameo putting it up their with Mew.

He already had the 'Legend of Thunder' special in Pokemon Chronicles. His time had came and went with a blink of an eye.

I think Movie 12 should've just been the end of the Pokemon movie series because it's getting tiring, not a lot of the characters in the show mention any events of the films save for anything involving Lugia and Deoxys and the critics over in the U.S. had ripped the films to shreRAB or never bothered to see them if we're going by the dubs of Movies 1-5. Plus DVD-wise, some of them had never been given any good bonus material and are just forgotten on the shelves at nearby Wal-Marts, Targets, and Toys R' Us stores. I hate to see Pokemon end up as the next Land Before Time series where there are two-three good films while the rest of the series is crap.

A little message to everyone involved in the Pokemon series over in Japan: It's time to hang the movie series up and go forward with pushing towarRAB the end of the Sinnoh League series and hope for new adventures with this upcoming fifth generation.

And yet he won't make the move to catch it thus making him see Ho-Oh again means the beginning of either Ash going back to Johto for a new series to start fresh and catch some more Pokemon or it'll be the beginning of the fifth generation.

Yeah right. As much as we would like to see it end, unless the public demanRAB for a new male lead, he's staying in the show no matter what even if the new female lead will get replace with what we're getting in the HeartGold/SoulSilver games.

Why should we care about a new baby Pokemon? I mean some people don't like some of the past and new evolutions as it is. I bet dollars to donuts that people would either see a evolution for Pachirisu or a legendary to evolve then having to deal with a Pokemon we can bet will be in the show whether it's in the films or not. If they serve no purpose but to promote a new game, then it's wasted potential.

Yeah but in the age of remakes in the case of the new EVA films, the Gurren Lagann movies, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and the Eureka Seven movie, we could expect the series to get a refresher course soon enough.

Well, all of the trailers at the end of Pokemon movies in Japan have been teasers. I've seen most of the trailers and they have a lot of scenes that never even happen in the movie and a couple of times where Pokemon haven't appeared in them, such as the case with Mewtwo that I mentioned earlier, except that was actually from the third movie trailer, not the second. I just totally forgot that myself until people like Dogasu reminded me of how the trailers are teasers.

I don't really think that it's too weird that the trailer was promoting the remakes while also proving that a thirteenth movie exists. After all, the entire series is here to promote the games and the remakes do come out in Japan in about two months, so promoting the games as a part of the teaser trailer for the next movie sounRAB like a good way to do two things at once.

Of course, Ho-Oh and Lugia could still be a part of the movie, but we really don't have any kind of firm proof of what will be a part of the movie since Pokemon trailers have been known to have scenes that never appear in the movies.

I always thought that Arceus is kind of like the Pokemon's Universe God since it is said to have created the universe. Of course, you would know more about how Arceus is treated in Japan than I would. You also bring a good point about how the legendary Pokemon from each generation have to outdo the ones from before. I think that they've been trying to give more legendary Pokemon some kind of background story with each new generation more than trying to outdo the strength or power of each legendary from the past generation.

I highly doubt that. Ash is needed in the story for a few reason, IE his Pikachu. Beside even if he was replaced, I think the new guy would just be a carbon copy of Ash in every way to the point that I would question to myself, "Why did they replace Ash?"
