Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

I love Pointless.
But there is too much banter going on now between Alexander and Richard.
A little is OK but it takes the time away from the answers being revealed in any length.
And if the jackpot is won in the first answer at the end why do they not reveal the rest of the answers?
If it is a matter of time then cut the silly banter.

Also where was Wednesday Pointless on Catch-up?

I too skip through the guff where the delightful Alexander is explaining the rules, etc- it could easily be a half hour programme!

I was also in the audience for the shows that were on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and was shown on camera quite a lot!

I can confirm that it's not the audience that is asked the questions so I don't know who these "100 people" are!

Also the tickets clearly stated that refreshments would not be available.

One of the shows had the question where the contestants had to name lines on the London Underground map. One gave the answer as Hammersmith & City and Richard said "of course you can use that line to get to the BBC TV Centre."

To which Alexander Armstrong replied "or the Central Line" thus giving away an answer, he was suitably embarrassed. The contestants were then banned from giving Central Line as an answer!

Asterix is horrible.

Also I agree that William and Mary aren't really Stuarts - William and Mary of Orange were from the NetherlanRAB - guess they may have been obscure Stuart's though. And I'm only 24 and we had comprehensive history lessons - wasnt that long ago. also have a good history background through Shakespeare though.

Funny having watched it now - i swayed from side to side the whole time!

I wanted boybanRAB. Or Agatha Christie books. Sad times.

I was surprised they won the jackpot yesterday. They didn't look like Girls Aloud fans :p

I would never have got those pointless answers (although I did get one in the Eastenders question :o )

Further proof that you should avoid football in the final round and go for a subject where there are fewer experts/anoraks. I thought the bank holiday question was a bit ambiguous because Scotland has a bank holiday at the start of August and the rest of the UK at the end of the month.

Is it going to be revamped as a half-hour programme? Perhaps it'll move to 6pm to let the EggheaRAB rest their smugness for a few weeks.
