Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

One small thing I noticed - when a team is definitely safe Armstrong often encourages them to take a risk and go for a pointless but when it's down to the final 2 the lowest scoring team gets choice of topic - a significant advantage.
So going for a risky answer just because you are safe may not be worth it
 
Well the couple in the final took a gamble on LONDON which happened to be road bridges. Any central London bridge was really out of the question & thought they would walk it seeing as they said they were from London.

The one with the Monopoly squares - someone said Fenchurch Street, and it was correct.

Isn't it "Fenchurch Street Station"? I recall an earlier show where a slightly wrong answer was rejected.

Thought that would have been taken as incorrect.
 
If a category isn't chosen after, i think it's five shows, then it gets changed. Makes sense really. Pretty sure that's what will happen with the basketball option!
 
I'm really liking Pointless! It's not often I watch the tripe that's on during the day (except for Neighbours of course :p) so it's good to have something good on. The only thing that bugs me is that it could clearly be 30-35mins long instead of 45 if they cut out some of the rambling and points recaps. We don't need to see a points recap halfway through a round... we're not that forgetful! Besides, all of the scores are shown on a wide shot of all of the teams anyway.

I would've won the jackpot yesterday with the Girls Aloud question. The first thing I said was Life Got Cold and I thought about Walk This Way too as soon as Richard said collaborations would be accepted. :D

This weeks episodes are 24/30 to 28/30. The series should have finished this Friday, however due to one episode being missed on the August Bank Holiday, and another when BBC2 showed the Women's Euro 2009 Final, the series is running two episodes behind schedule. These two episodes will reportedly be shown on Monday and Tuesday of next week (the 5th and 6th of October), before Snooker coverage takes the slot from Wednesday 7th October.
 
And the contestant claiming she would have known the characters, if it had been a romance play. Perhaps she would but I wasn't necessarily convinced!
