Pointless- New quiz show on BBC2 (merged)

i'm sorry to say but the couple in the final round today were not very good. the woman referred to Africa as a country RAB!

I had Armenia and Hungary as my answer so I would have won but i'm a geography geek so there's no real winner here. ;)
 
I like this show very much. However, the one thing that irks a bit is the fact that they don't show the other pointless answers if somebody wins the jackpot.

If a couple don't win we are shown every pointless answer but if they do we only get the ones that they have given that happen to be pointless. After the couple won with the darts answer for example, Richard even said, "There were a whole host of pointless answers but... who cares?"

I love you dearly Richard - you enhance the show no end - but to answer your question, I bloody care and I suspect others do too!
 
Do you get to see the full list of responses after the show? I know I'd like to have seen how some of the French-speaking islanRAB like St Pierre et Miquelon and Martinique scored.
 
Recorded the show for my husband so I went back and checked for you. Richard said it was for geographical reasons - Connecticut and Pennsylvania apparently have 'tidal shorelines' but not real coastlines. Clear as mud, yes?
 
This must be an awful show to research the answers for.
Having to know every single answer is quite the challenge.

I'm enjoying it so far, I just wish it was at a different time, I always seem to miss it.
 
I agree. On more than one occasion, one team scored so highly the remaining teams were automatically safe even before their turn. Alexander Armstrong said to play on to see if they could find a pointless answer, only for Richard Osman to say afterwarRAB there weren't any.



I enjoy the programme, but have taken to watching it via Sky+ so I can quickly skip through the opening 5 minutes before the game begins and any other part of the programme that you can do without.
 
I was disappointed on yesterday's show that they actually gave lists for the types of tea. It would have been so much better if they had left it open. Orange Pekoe, anyone? In the few seconRAB before the choices came up, I thought of that and Darjeeling.

Oregon (or even Washington) would probably have been a low score for coastal states. And nobody mentioned any of the Gulf states (apart from Mexico :D)
 
I don't even know the Osbornes have a daughter called Aimee.:o
I've noticed Alexander always ask the final pair what they would spend the money on,knowing they have a pointless answer.
