Playing converted videos on your S60 -- Read inside

Whaaat? Highest quality? 25FPS?? Please help me get that result!!! I've been trying this for days!

I'm using converter 3.20 and player 3.21, I tried many combinations with the following settings: Full cropping / No croppingXviD encoderBitrate 512kbps / 1024kbps (tried both, and they seemed to give me the same FPS resultsResolution 176x208 / 352x416 (again, tried both, but seemed like same results)Audio On, Force Mono, 22050Hz, 40kbpsWhat I'm converting is a 175 avi (XviD). I tried tons of combinations of the settings above, and the maximum FPS I could get is 13. I'm so eager to find out how you make your files 25FPS, and glad to know that it is possible.

When I create a low resolution (176x208) file, and let SmartMovie resize it for me, it gets me the same performance as any other combination I tried, around 13FPS, but when I disable its stretching (pressing 6), it gets to 25FPS, perfect quality.

Increase the video bitrate for better quality but files will be bigger.

I used these settings as a jumping point. They can be modified to your liking depending on what you want

As for The Program it was out of sink cause I played a bit too much with the frame rate lol sorry about that

Here are some more funny videos ready for the E61 that are all animated by Don Hertzfeldt. I recommend watching them in this order

@FRiC:
Yes, me too.. what I like is the ability to view the video without extra software installed... its more of a test to see which is better.

Plus Super is free, and real player is already on the phone, so its free to make video's that way. Smartmovie costs $$$.

@Blazers4Ever:
You are creating video's in 25fps at 1024k bps? Man they must be HUGE.

@Blue Leaves:
I've only played around with Nokia converter, but 3gp sux. And as I recall, when I ran some video through the nokia converter - it cause some stuttering/jitter problems. I'm talking short 1 minute clips or smaller, they would jump/skip/stutter every 5+ seconds But that was a long time ago, it might have gotten better.

It looked ok to me but keep and mind you can change the video bit rate and put it higher to increase the quality but the file gets bigger also

BTW, I don't mind size at all. The files may be huge, as long as I can render they smooth in N90. So if anyone has a way of getting that result, either being a configuration in SmartMovie, or in SUPER, I'd like to know about it.

what about the endless loop that SUPER does for over 45 minutes? sheesh program seems like its nice i'm wondering if it's hanging..i'm sure a 500mb file shouldn't take that along or am I wrong?

Well I feel like a pud, just bought smartmovie for my N80, then sat and converted two whole seasons of The Office before checking one to make sure it was lookin good. Here's my situation:

1. movies converted previously for my 6682 play roughly the same on the N80. (expected)

Just downloaded Super, going to play with one of the episodes of The Office (which are all High Definition, and pretty widescreen aspect ratio. That's one thing I'm not impressed with Smartmovie on, they don't resize, they simply crop. which means I either have massive letterboxes or about half the picture. We'll see if Super resizes better. My PC resizes the pic, why can't my phone?

So if I use SUPER, what file type should I convert it to with what settings to get optimal quality in the native realplayer application?

Thanks.

ok i have read this over and over again but im still getting an error message from using super. i have tried all the ways everyone has posted but not luck. my question is what type of file can i drop in? i have been trying to encode a 700mb avi, xvid or divx file. Am I doing something wrong? or should i just purchase smartmovie

I have gotten several PM's asking where to get SUPER video encoder.

I will post the link as I have no problem with doing that (Thats what we do here on Howard Forums), but I'm very disapointed to see just how many people don't even try to search or look for themselves
I can only hope there are/were hundreds more people who DID search and found it themselves.... like they should have.

Super can be found HERE .... but its like the 5th hit link in Google.

I uninstalled SUPER. Too confusing for my blood, and I kept getting errors. I think I found a good setup on Smartmovie, and I like that it can pick up where I left off in movies. I'm converting both seasons of The Office, as well as Band of Brothers now.
