Found it was a great film but considering it's a 15 it is very very gory in some scenes. Some cringe-worthy moments. I'd some it up as a dark fantasy film. Even though the Faun is good he still scared me a little lol. The little girl is a great actress by the way. Don't let the subs put you off watching it. 8/10.
didn't manage to see it in the cinemas, so am hoping to pick it up on DVD.
Have wanted to see it since I saw the trailers, I didn't even realise that it's gory until reading this thread lol, but if I can sit through Saw III at the cinemas surely I can watch this at home.
THis film is undoubtably one of the best films i've ever seen. i was nearly in tears at the end - but because i'm male - i really had to hold them back!!!
i left the cinema effected in a way - couldnt stop thinking of the film for ages after.
if you havent seen this movie i suggest that you do. it is just magical.
Why is my opinion a silly thing to say? I didn't like the film, thats my opinion, there is nothing silly about saying that. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if you dont agree with it.
I think the "silly thing" in question was that you seemed to have mostly dismissed it based on it being in Spanish, rather than your opinion of the movie itself. Other than not being prepared for the subtitles, what did you feel was lacking or failed in the movie?
Just been reading reviews at odeon.co.uk and there isnt a bad word to be said about it. Didnt realise it wasnt in english but it hasnt put me off still gonna watch it
it was a spanish film. what did you expect?? did you think they should have covered the posters with signs saying THIS FILM IS SUBTITLED. and how can 'not expecting subtitles' put you off a film??
It was a masterful movie, but singularly the most shockingly violent '15' I have ever seen. How the hell it got that rating is beyond me. Very disturbing in many places, but I guess necessarily so. A sure-fire for the foreign language Oscar nod.
