Ozzy Osbourne solo (vs) Black Sabbath w/ Ozzy (vs) Black Sabbath w/ Dio

Not all hair metal is cheesy. Early Motley Crue is way less cheesy than the kind of stuff Dio is known for, like "Holy Diver" or "Heaven and Hell."

But honestly there's no point in me defending hair metal or you dismissing it. No one here thinks it's great art. I like it for what it is: trashy fun.

However, unlike hair metal, Dio's work gets way more praise than it deserves, now more so than ever. Dio-era Sabbath doesn't deserve even the 12.50% of the vote it currently has.

I find Dio's voice more generic in my eyes, and there is something just indescribably cool about ozzy's voice, also are you saying that Black Sabbath with dio is more minimalistic because I think it is the opposite way around.
You can take Dio and ..... oh wait he's already there i don't even have to say anything... (only joking!). :)[/QUOTE
)

Yeah well suppose Im just contradicting 'popular opinion' which IMO is nearly always wrong. What I mean by the 'minimalistic' comment is that Dio compared to Ozzy made a hell of a lot fewer albums with Black Sabbath but to me the music on them was a hell of a lot better than anything Ozzy ever did.
As for the 'you can take Dio' comment- at least we are both satisfied.
The only proper claim I would put across is that Dios voice is a hell of a lot better than Ozzy's. (but I can understand why people say Dio is not Sabbath to me).
Also I find it quite ironic how we used to argue & insult each other and now just because we put (only joking) in brackets it suddenly becomes accepted lol.

Anyway, go ram it... :thurab:

ALSO WHO ELSE VOTED FOR DIO???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
WE NEED TO TALK!

Actually thats one of the reasons i like the Dio stuff so much. They didnt try to continue down the same road with a new singer and in my opinion, adjusted to his strengths.

Explain how early Motley Crue isn't as cheesy, if not cheesier, than anything Ronnie James Dio has been involved with. Too Fast for Love looks like a veritable Wisconsin dairy farm next to Holy Diver.

Sabbath and Ozzie anyday. Apart from the self-titled debut and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath being a couple of the coolest albums that have ever graced the music industry with their presence, they're also responsible for this merry ditty, which is reason enough for my vote alone;

Suppose so, thanks anyway.
Sorry if I sound rude, Im really tired & crabbit just now.
Probably not the best idea to go on music forums...

Eh? Sorry (IMO) I already thought the album cover looked pretty 'rubbish'.
Understand now? :banghead:
As for 'grammatically correct' I didnt know you were my English teacher :wave:.

Vince Neil is not even close to Ronnie James Dio's vocals, dead or alive.
Ive never heard anyone phrase Dio's music as 'borabastic cheese' before.
Ozzy is the 'Prince Of Darkness'! for goRAB sake, and what always catches my attention is how Dio's music is also on the 'dark side', but all together different than Ozzy's in style and sound, these guys are two of the biggest influences in the history of metal/rock.
(Regardless..of what I think, if someone prefers Motley Crue over Dio, Ozzy, and Sabbath, then more power to ya)! :rolleyes:
