PS: The instructions in Cyan's N1 thread suggest doing a nandroid backup, which I agree is a good idea. In nandroid-2.0.sh the following requirements are listed (among others):

# - busybox in recovery mode
# - 'adb shell' support running as root

Does anyone know whether Amon RA's ROM and recovery image both meet these requirements? ... or are these SDK/adb-related items?

Don't know if it's the update or I'm just lucky tonight, but I was playing with Maps, turned on GPS and got a lock in probably no more than a minute. I am used to turning it on and looking away for a while so I didn't time it.

was supposed to ship with more. but there is a "bug" in the kernel that doesnt release the RAM. cyanogen enabled it in his rom(with the help of google)
