Has anyone taken the update yet?
I been eager to update to the CM5 Rom. My G1 almost is better than my N1 if not for the snapdragon. I do miss the keyboard. How about a drioddoes for GSM unlocked!

Nope it wont effect future rootability Google wants you to have the option. As long as they are in control of the phone it'll probably be there.

I can't imagine google not including the ram fix. Cyan did it. Google should also have it fixed.

it must not be ready for the public yet. google leaked it to cyanogen for testing. they(google) are working on a new kernel, i believe its supposed to be part of it. cyanogen took it out and patched it into his kernel. the new radio included into the update is supposedly prepping your phone for the new kernel.

At least them(Google) are working with Cyan now. thats good to see. Well hopefully it comes soon. I still thats whats going to happen. today in status looking at our phone it says android 2.1-update1 and hopefully later, but soon we'll get update2 and so on.

If it's not pushed out, is there likely to be a way to download the update manually (i.e. Settings->About Phone->System Updates)?
