*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Which shots? Eldar's video and pictures all looked great to me. This mobileworld one just posted looks like the contrast is dialed up really high or something (very grey looking).

now everyone please quit crying...this thread is absolutely painful to read...Until you have the phone in your hand, I dont care what you have to say that it can't do this..that...blah..blah

I would much rather have an underclocked CPU and have decent battery life than a super-fast CPU with the N810's battery life. My phone must primarily be useful to make calls. It absolutely must have the capability of being stretched to 2 days at an absolute minimum and preferably 3 without charging if I go easy on it.

If a faster CPU would make that impossible, I'd rather have a slower one, as my phone is primarily a phone. I do like when my phone can do things tablets can do as it saves me from having to carry them both most of the time, but sacrificing the usefulness of the device as a phone is simply not acceptable, no matter how much some whiners think otherwise.

Having to carry an extra battery or extra device because my primary phone can't make it through the day is the true failure.

Yeah, you're right. I'm not a techie either and I don't understand a lot of the technical stuff that is said in here just like you don't. I try to google search a lot of the technical stuff, but even though I do that, I'm having a hard time understanding everything. It would be nice to keep things a little simpler for us regular regular members. Not all of us in here are techies you know.

Yeah but you can plan an event with ease with the mobile version of Facebook, I'm sure it will be even easier with this app. I signed up for Twitter just to find out what it was. Now that I'm on it, I think it's a waste of time (Gravity is a great app tho and is an example of what any mobile Social Networking app should be).

I hold my iphone with one hand in landscape. :D I'm pleased with how they implemented landscape T9 but I still would highly prefer a full keyboard as well.

Yeah... Maemo is going to replace Symbian sooner rather than later. I just wonder if Nokia can pull it off... Maemo hasn't exactly been a roaring success, and they've attracted minimal development interest in the platform.
