I never said the N95 had a bad browser. It's really capable but it's still slow. The N97's browser looks to be the same.
How is the 5800's browsing experince better than the N95? I'll give you resolution, but scrolling is a pain in the ***, and things like zooming are more complicated than they should be. I also don't like the fact that to having the side menu open takes up almost a fourth of the screen. Zooming in by double tapping doesn't resize what you've tapped on to fit the screen like it does on the N95 and the iPhone, so you end up side scrolling. Don't even get me started on clicking small links/links in clusters.
We'll see if there's minute software tweaks compared to the 5800's implementation but I'm pretty sure it's going to perform the same, as it has the same processor and same amount of ram. I'm happy they added kinetic scrolling which will help a lot but I would've like to see it on the rest of the device.
S60 in its current state is a button OS, not a touch OS, no matter how much it wants to be one.
