Have you seen the piracy on the iPhone platform? It's exponentially more there then even WM/S60.

Getting cracked apps on JB iPhone is ridiculously easy!
 
The iPhone 3G is not 2 years old, is it? Apple's favorite MO is incremental upgrades to the iPod line while keeping the price point the same.

Sounds like Nokia's, too. Always 550 Euros. Incremental upgrades. Looks like introduction of N95 was the exception rather than the rule. N97 is just following a more usual pattern

Too many people looking at the N95 as the benchmark when it's pretty unique in Nokia's history the way it seemed to jumped tech and push the envelope like that... Even so, or all it's hardware advances, it was behind in basic UI. UIQ had been doing touchscreen for what, 3 years already? And iPhone came out the same year right while lacking basic functionality common in smartphones for same said 2 years and subject to draconian and arbitrary corporate control and the veto of new apps by the US carrier. Definitely NOT the path for Nokia to follow.
 
Same here.

There was absolutely no excuse for 95-1 and 95-3 BS. I understand if only the frequencies differed, but it's much more than that!
 
Just called in. Told me there were authorization issues? (weird since i called the bank yesterday and they told me there isn't a hold on anything) and if all gos well my device should ship today or tomorrow.
 
Again CPU argument :) We've seen the performance of n97 and it will only become faster with updates. :buddies:

May be there is n98 being cooked with better so called CPU and graphics chip and audio chip and 12mp camera with optical zoom.This is the phone of 2009, not 2010.Yes I know there are other phones with better hardware.Leave CPU and it's clock speed alone.
 
that OS looks SICK i would think that comes out in 2010 then if i aint mistaken cuz the videos show that the OS on the 97 is like the 5800 only minor changes which is still good but wow that video something posted got me really excited i would think nokia would have to release that really soon cuz of their sales going down last quarter 69 %(that is without counting the 5800 sales which was very succesful) but if that is released it would make a lot of people look at them agian and buy that type of phone
 
Been there and done that. Its worse than pain ... more like scratching yourself till your cut like scavies or a bad rash!

K850i ... I would've thrown it to the WALL by now!! Even then it wasn't the shi! it was nice and avante-Garde in style but blows in real usage.

If you don't have enough saved right now then your a bolluck for not saving all that time.!
