Well, my N95-3 was made in Finland and I've seen the Nokia plant production video on YouTube of Finns making N95 8GB's. Say what you want about build quality, the plastic might creak but my N95 took several rough poundings and survived nicely. Nokia is known for their sturdy phones, some used as hockey pucks here in Canada lol.
I know Nokia did close Germania's last mobile phone plant, which has angered many consumers there. It has production in a few EU states and Asia, from what I gather the higher-enders are mostly made in the EU.
I was so gung-ho on getting the Xperia, but the dis-info and delays and recall have pissed my off so much I'm going back to Nokia. I prefer WinMo to S60, but I can't leave behind Nokias amazing RF and camera quality. SE dropped the ball on the X1 and I'm sure HTC is behind it!
