For this misunderstanding is why Nokia was SCREAMING from the very beggining that the 5800 is a MID-Range device and not high-end.
5800 is perfect value for its money, plus is one of the best touch-screen devices out there, infact in many areas is better if you compare it with other high-end touchscreen phones. But 5800 is not a high end phone it is in the mid-range category, other mid-range phones are AGES behind the 5800 period. We should thank Nokia that gave us such a wonderful device in that amazing price. This is the 5800. Comparing the 5800 with the N97 is like comparing the Mercedes SLK with SL65 Black series or SLR.
Now the N97 is a high end phone, not only that it is in Multimedia, All in one category. Like the N95 it will probably have a 3D hardware accelerator.
There is no way that Nokia will release an $700, N97 and not handle well the Multimedia and multitasking.
Now if the Nokia N97 can handle, videos, multimedia, divx and doing all task as it should do them, who cares if it has omap the old arm, intel or whatever? :befuddled
