Oh I didn't mean that it's a bad idea to do it and that makes it a bad rumor. I think it's a bad rumor because it's kinda far-fetched.

I don't really get the whole Twitter thing either and if it weren't for the fact that Gravity is such an awesome application, I wouldn't use it at all. Twitter is pretty much Facebook where all you can do is change your status LOL.
 
It is N79 specs. It is a touchscreen N79. By hardware specs it is the same. For something more modern, try that Samsung OmniaHD HD video recording. They should just call it N97 instead. It is more of a rightful successor to the N95 than the N96+N97 combined.
 
Wow, seems like I pressed the fanboy button by mentioning PS3 :cool: Btw, PS3 slim was just a rumor! I don't know how many gadgets I'll have by the end of this year!

Okay back to n97, I hope those Fedex trucks aren't hijacked! This thread is lightening fast, I go to kitchen, come back and see 5 more posts, so hard to keep up.
 
Let's not compare CPU speed of N97 with E series & XM. I am not sure of the rationale behind using the high CPU in non-N series phones. But if you look at N97, it got the high CPU compared to any N series released till date. Am i right? So, I wouldn't call it fail.
 
Yeah, I kinda think that about the iPhone (and the iPod touch). Just feels a bit too skinny for a screen like that. One of the things one of the iPhone Nazi's at my work is always about how thick some other smartphones are when I prefer the bulk...
 
Will any 16GB microSD SDHC card be ok? In the manual, it says something about only using Nokia approved blah blah. I'm taking that to be standard "buy from us" tripe, but is there any type of 16GB microSD that wouldn't work for some reason?
 
I've been thinking about getting some iphones as upgrade and selling them for N97 funding. But quick question, what happens to the data plan after you sell the iphones? I know you're required to sign-up for the data plan when you get the iphone.

So when you sell the iphone you can just cancel the data plan?
 
Are you sure about that? I'm on ATT and any time I get a call it just places the EDGE connection on hold. The call has priority, at least on the E61.
 
not sure... why i would want this vs. the 5800... time will tell though... 3.2 vs 5.0 not that much of a difference imo.. if it had xenon flash like n82 that would be a different story.. looks nice though and hopefully the screen is killer
