for anyone who doesnt get why everyone is so angry, its not the CPU speed per se. its just the fact that this slower, "yesterday's" CPU s is just another demonstration that nokia is out of touch. they seem to not "get it". i still think the n97 CPU is gonna bog down the instant a couple 3rd party apps are installed, and the user tries to run the web browser with something else...CRASH.
 
No real FaceBook play though; but some SERIOUS notifications, love the auto rotation - and relation of the FaceBook Tab menu. They BETTER bring this to S60 3rd Edition else I'll be forced to get NGage on N97 with Zeemote!

The Finish of the hinge being closed looks SOLID Quality!

Notice that the Keyboard looks somewhat flush ... like no light piercing through in/out. That D-Pad looks effortlessly to use as well.

Love the Numerical Dial Pad in Landscape mode as well.

* N97 = Nokia has got a winner here!

Lets see - E71 > E75 > E55 > N86 > N97 all of these phones have similar design queues (E55 less so due to it being so unique for Nokia) and ALL have quality build from what I can tell.
 
Vodafone just confirmed that they are going to carry the N97 in July. There are going to be a lot of people in Europe who are going to get that phone for next to nothing.

EDIT: Or possibly nothing. WHY IS THE HTC MAGIC FREE?
 
sunatic, the new iPhone will be able to multitask properly when jailbroken. Backgrounder runs flawlessly but since the current iPhone has so little ram it has to close other applications when using the browser, but considering the new one has 256mb ram.. :O

I am impressed with it now but I still don't think it's worth it.

Anyone have a video of the theme effects yet?

OMG ! Those pictures are incredible for a low light pictures. I think they may be using n86 like optics with large aparture.

Seems like nokia's policy of staying out of megapixel race and focusing on quality is paying off.
 
NONE of his recent posts here are about the OmniaHD. Stop attacking him about that.

I've been here for a while and Im not kidding when I say he was one of the biggest nokia enthusiasts on this board.

Let's get back on topic. Did anyone here get billed for their phones yet?

I will be leaving these boards as it's close to finals week and I'm checking this topic waay too often. See you guys in 2 weeks
 
That doesn't make sense to me because this keyboard issue seems like a design flaw limitation not really a build quality issue. But i guess there's no way to prove that without asking some of the bloggers who tried out the proto from a few months ago. Maybe steve over at allaboutsymbian can answer.

I just can't see the difference being all that much different.
 
You can go to Thread Options and subscribe to it or just click the little blue arrow besides the name of the last person to post and it will open the thread at the last post.
