*OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

Just called Brightpoint to cancel my pre-order, and they say "call back between 8am and 8pm eastern time."

It's 7:09PM eastern time.

If they're closed on weekends they should specify it. Otherwise, WTF another fail by Nokia.
 
It needs to be integrated into the phone, not an app that may not even work on v5 and is buggy and requires a special way to open texts like conversations.
 
Definitely on my shopping list for next year. I love my E71, but I'd like to upgrade to the entertainment features of the N series + the high res screen + the QWERTY keypad. As long as I don't have to sell my body parts to afford one, that is :D
EDIT: I hope the battery life is as good as the E71.
 
I always wondered why no phone manufacturer ever buys up a case manufacturer so that they don't have to really devote any extra resources to making cases and the case manufacturer would have the benefit of having molds and prototypes of the phones ahead of time so cases would be available at launch.
 
so i was in vegas since thursday. whats hte deal here? shipped yet?!

nokiausa? i just remembered when i was calling to cancel my credit card they said nokia brightpoint tried charging $5xx but they declined it after someone tried spending 2g's at the apple store on the strip :rolleyes:
 
One point worth translating, is the comment of the guy that requested these test pictures:

Si je compare ces photos par rapport ? mon N95 8gb je dirais qu?il y a moins de bruit dans l?image dans les environnements peu ?clair?s.
Donc une sensibilit? l?g?rement sup?rieure, bien qu?il reste forc?ment beaucoup de flous ?tant donn? la taille du capteur.

If I compare these pictures to my N95 8gb, I would say that there is a lot less noise from the images in poorly lit environments.
So a sensibility slighty superiour, even thought there is still a lot of blur due to the size of the lens
 
another post said you can order using a canadian credit card if you do it over the phone. i think you still need an american address though :(
 
Lol its still 2-3 months from release and we're already at 105 pages! That's got to be a record or something. Wonder if its gonna hit 200 pages before its released..
 
something else caught my eye....

there doesn't seem to be a Wi-Fi locater on the home screen, like my N84 has....

please I hope you can add this as a widget...it was incredibly useful
